My partner and I turned up here on Valentine's Day for lunch, without a booking and they managed to fit us in. The service was attentive, the cocktails were fabulous (lychee martini packed a punch but was delicious), the food was fresh and tasty and the outlook of rice fields was gorgeous. Nice Balinese Rose on the wine list. We... More

The food, service and ambience here is superb. Seems to have a french/japanese influence and I'd rate the quality of the food and service (slightly) higher than Metis across the road. Had a delicious pork belly for entree and my wife had had the scallops; dinner was duck two ways and kingfish. All cooked to perfection. It was my wife's... More

To start with the good: Place has an amazing set up, overlooking a rice field, the evening lights are arranged perfectly, you can easily see there is somebody artistic behind all that. However, the attitude of the staff and the whole experience was lacking quality at least. We got a table in the middle and as the other tables were... More

I heard good about this restaurant from my friends, and I tried to book several times but always full booked and cannot. At last, I could be here with my friend from Japan and we had a good dinner. Service was nice. Space was clean and nice, but food was not excellent as I expected. I will not be here... More

First time to Sardine and we weren't disappointed. Stunning setting in rice fields, not far from our hotel. Nice touch with the Canadian hostess coming to our table to ask if we needed any help with the menu. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Food and wine beautiful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others visiting Bali for an enjoyable evening... More

My wife and I specially picked Sardine, among the so many other good restaurants we could have chosen to celebrate and have our Chinese New Year eve dinner ( we are of Asian descent) and boy were we totally short-changed !!! We were totally disappointed and disgusted by the lady restaurant manager on duty that evening! (Wed 18 Feb) We... More

It's 2 years since we went to Sardine and we weren't disappointed. The setting is beautiful and it's one of my favourite places to eat here. I had the Barramundi in Banana Leaf and my husband the sautéed King Fish...fresh and beautifully cooked. Service is efficient. Food prices are reasonable, wine expensive Aust $75 for a fairly ordinary bottle of... More

I have eaten many times over the last years at Sardine and also ate there again recently and it is consistently excellent! I love the ambiance, the beautiful view over the working rice paddy and the quality of the produce and superb flavours which never fail to impress. The scallop entre and the duck main are simply AMAZING!!! This restaurant... More
