Celebrated my birthday in great style!

After finding out my favourite fine dining restaurant was closed, I was most cautious about choosing where to celebrate my birthday in Bali. This is absolutely one of, if not the best restaurant in Bali. It's perfect for a special occasion. Decadent and ambient without being stuffy. The rice paddy backdrop is a nice touch for something a little different. The service is excellent and so is the food but it's the romantic atmosphere that really sets this place apart. I highly recommend.

I surprised myself by choosing French food rather than eat local dishes, but this was recommended by a friend who is Bali-phile. The food was stand-out, expensive on local terms but great value if like us comparing to Singapore. The French Onion soup was popular, and we got the last one - which is large enough to share. Also had... More

My husband and I went to Metis for dinner one evening while celebrating our wedding anniversary in Bali. The restaurant is beautiful and a fairly decent size. They have a lounge area with a DJ which we had a pre-dinner cocktail and then we headed to our table to enjoy dinner. The service was great, although I was a bit... More

Metis offers, besides an amazing venue, a great menu of French cuisine specialities. I loved that they have specialized on foie gras dishes and on soufflés. I haven’t been to any restaurant, which offers several kinds of soufflés, in a long time. Because of that, we ordered three different ones and it was impossible to decide, which of them was... More

Dined there with our family of 20. Nice setting in the glam laid back way. Foie gras is the star dish for us. Service ok considering it was busy, our waitress asked how we enjoy our meal. Good value French fare

I love my regular visits to Metis and am never, ever disappointed! The capiroskas are always very good, the wait staff are very efficient and professional, and the food is Fabulously French! I ate a warm leek and trout salad followed by my all time favourite - the Duck Confit. We then shared a taste sensations desert which is almost... More

I loved my dinner for two at Metis. The atmosphere is very relaxed and romantic, and the food was amazing as well. Absolutely try the foie gras and yellow fin sushi roll, that was probably the best thing we ate at any restaurant in Bali. Will absolutely go back the next time I venture to Seminyak.

Prices are good by Singapore standards. Quality of the food is high as well. Portions are generous - my starter had something like 4 zucchini flowers. I liked the lobster bisque as well. The food is straightforward modern French, with nothing very inventive. But I like it that way. Service is typically laidback as you'd expect in this part of... More
