MÉTIS Restaurant and Gallery is a sensory dining experience that embraces the sheer pleasures of living. Chef Nicolas “Doudou” Tourneville brings his legendary talent and culinary artistry to the table with a masterful combination of French Mediterranean cuisine. Flawless service in one of Bali’s most elegantly sophisticated settings is just the beginning of this seduction into the depths of the five senses. MÉTIS is as fresh and sumptuous as the cuisine that graces its tables.

Lovely Setting for Lunch

We did wonder where we were going(back blocks of Kerobokan, but when we went into the restaurant it was very impressive, set in a real rice field with a great looking bar & sofas overlooking the rice field. I was blown away by the Foie Gras and wine selection for starters and the mains didn't disappoint either. I still shake my head at the wonders of such a special restaurant "find" as Metis in the relative rural back blocks of Bali at Kerobokan, with a serene view overlooking rice paddies. Well done.

We went to Metis yesterday. What a beautiful place the entrance with water, the beautiful shop and finally the oasis surrounded by the restaurant and lounge. Charming/stylish a great ambiance. The menu is great European/France with according wine list. Overall the price - quality has the right balance. All that was offered on the three courses was simply perfect. What... More

Metis never disappoints with friendly service, excellent food (their foie gras choices are simply wow and you have to try one of the amazing shuffles), great atmosphere, nice views and very cool music. Crowd is very mixed and relaxed - I simply like it and will be back for sure.

I moved to Bali from Ibiza back in July. I heard of Metis, but never went because I heard it was a very elitist place. Last Friday, I visited this place to celebrate the engagement of a friend. As I was talking with a friend, a man pushed past me in a very rude manner. I've been to my fair... More

We went to Metis on the first day of our Bali visit. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. I heard that there are two chefs in the restaurant and have been advised we should go at night instead of lunch. Excellent presentation of all the dishes. Desserts were excellent! Paris Hilton was in this restaurant recently! The... More

I already visited Metis almost 10 times because I like the concept of the restaurant and I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. That's why I visit this restaurant when I have a guests to Bali. However, the service and the food are not so good, I think. Better to visit here to know what's going on in Bali and... More

Had dinner at Metis with 3 friends last night and the experience was everything I hoped for - it was brilliant. We ordered a round of cocktails that were promptly served and then meals were well timed and perfectly prepared. I had the rack of lamb which was cooked a perfect medium and thoroughly enjoyable... Now the desserts are worth... More

With a name like Metis and the reputation you would expect a great food experience, right? WRONG! Believe it or not the food had NO taste at all. We ordered the lobster bisque, what a disaster. The Bisque was watery and tasteless. How can a lobster bisque taste like nothing?! I ordered one of the more expensive entrees, the cout... More

My friend told me I had to go to this restaurant for dessert. It's definitely a place to take a loved one as it's aimed towards couples/groups. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was fantastic. Open air venue with views of lily pads. We ordered a lemon and raspberry soufflé. It does take 20 minutes but worth the wait!... More
