I have dined here a few times now and cannot fault it. Beautiful food and the setting is just stunning at night. Highly recommend but you must book as it is very busy.

The decor, service and food are all nice without being amazing. The staff are friendly but not personable enough and the food is very rich but lacks any real creativity or flair. For some reason there is an overly large proportion of creamy dishes on the menu and whilst most of the meals are tasty there is much better value... More

I arranged to eat there with some friends as we had heard good things and some of my friends had eaten there before. The restaurant was beautiful and the service good but the food was very bad for a restaurant of this price and in this location. Almost all of my friends had a problem with their food. My lamb... We visited Metis after reading the reviews. Three of us showed up with no booking, the place was pretty well packed out, but they still found a table for us. It is a large restaurant but the service and timeliness of service was excellent. We were impressed by the menu and were not disappointed. We would recommend Metis.

We were a group of 6. We arrived and after a brief look in the gallery were seated for dinner. Our cocktails were excellent while we looked at the menus. There was pretty to chose from and the food was very good. We were looked after well by the staff. The setting is very good - save for the crane... More

The restaurant was breathtakingly beautiful! The entrance is a gallery and there is a rice paddy inspired garden which you can walk out to. We arrived that evening to Bali so were only able to come after 8:30. It was quite a scene, with a mostly tourist (Caucasian) clientele given the high price and continental menu. Service was rather painfully... More

Metis is one of the top restaurants in Bali and I would not want to discourage you from going. Look at all the positive reviews. The setting is an enlarged replica of the old Warisan. To the right the bar area has been expanded and moved to the front. Many of the staff are also from the old Warisan and... More

I went back for maybe the 4th time a few nights back, and once again, delighted by the food, and service. The Tuna Trilogy was superb, and the pork belly was devine. Desert a pleasure. The staff were friendly, attentive, and did and said all the right things. A nice experience in this respect. The ambience, and music was also... More

I had dinner at Metis with a group of ten friends all celebrating our half century in Bali. I'm usually wary of places purporting to serve continental cuisine in Asian beach destinations - it tends to be all style and no substance. I am glad to say I was pleasantly surprised. Our starters were bone marrow, foie gras, asparagus ;... More

Last night in Metis with friends was extraordinary. The food was delicious. The staff waiting on us were in control and totally professional. The cocktails were also wonderful - rosemary julep the best. Many guests in a quite a compact area but not noisy or oppressive at all. A memorable night...
