Our guide brought us here. The entry was unique and terrace view over the rice paddies was spectacular with the Volcano in the background. Photo opps galore. However, the buffet, like others have commented was cold and not to the Indonesian standards we were accustomed to during our 10 day tour. Our unhappy waitress did not serve any other tables... The views of the surrounding country side were awesome, the service from staff but the buffet lunch is one of the worst Ive come across. The food was luke warm, the 'chicken' had no meat but was all bones and grissle. A buffet is normally eat as much as you want but we were only allowed 2 small satays each.... More

Mahagiri Resort is located in the heart of the Rendang Village in Karangasem, about 2 hours driving from Denpasar City, Bali -Indonesia. The restaurant view is the only good thing about this place. Its running by couple who also in charges as Public relation-PR (husband) and Cashier/finance (wife). They admitted their background is from hospitality industry but in fact what... More

Went here after visiting the Besakih Temple after telling our guide we were shouting him lunch. The view was sensation over the rice terraces/fields and the $7 buffet lunch was worth every cent and some. A little off the beaten track but well worth a visit.

We went here just after visiting the Besakih temple. The first thing that strucked us was the stunning view. Rice terraces everywhere. It was breath taking! We found out that there was a lunch buffet for around 70.000 IRP p.p. excl 21% tax and service (that's about €5,50 including tax and service costs). The food was really nice, they had... More

Agree with other reviewers the food here is average and not cheap. That said I had a beautiful little tank with the most fabulous view! The beer was cold and the service was good- all in all I'm glad to have been there.

Visited here twice during our recent holiday. The first time just for a drink and snack which was good, surpassed by the stupendous view. Our second visit was whilst we were out on a trip in the area with our driver. The place is full of trips so provides mass produced food which isn't that authentic or cheap! If like... More

Perfect for a relaxed lunch break after visiting Besakih temple. Gorgeous view! Around lunch time they offer a buffet with Indonesian food, IDR70.000. Food just okay, but must try: jackfruit juice (you rarely find elsewhere) and fried bananas (they have a special kind of small and very sweet bananas). Tax and service 21%.

Few years ago I visited this restaurant for the very first time, my driver suggest it to me. And I never regret to know this amazing place, the food, the view - it's another BIG value for this restaurant, the cleanliness, the service, literally everything! After couple of years in the business, they expanded the restaurant, and built few bungalows... More
