Large bar separated from the dining area. Everyone enjoyed their meal, but the burger was the star. Bring a sweater or a jacket. The air conditioning was on full blast

I've been here several times with my fiancé. We love going to the tavern! Everything I've had is amazing. The burger, the salmon, the scallops, the ribs, so tasty, full of flavor, great presentation, cooked perfectly. The prices are a little steep but it's worth it for such well prepared food. The tater tots as an appetizer are good, and... More

Towson is a college town and better known for bars and bar food than for fine dinning. But don't miss Towson Tavern. While is is much more expensive than the usual Towson fare, this hidden spot is worth it. The interior is well appointed--not too stuffy and dark but not too casual. the burger is top notch. The portions were... More

Had lunch there with a party of five. Each of us commented on the attractive and relaxed atmosphere. While it was the midst of lunch traffic, our party was able to talk and visit comfortably. The staff was pleasant and attentive to our needs. The food was very good and the portions were quite ample. The menu was varied with... More

Went there for lunch with good friend last week. Wait staff was pleasant, helpful and attentive. I had the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp, which I can recommend. The location is convenient to most things in central Towson. The prices for entrees seem a bit high for the kind of ambience, but the quality of the food may justify them.... More

This is a hidden gem, tucked away near the circle in Towson. Courteous and attentive service, interesting menu, perfect place to bring a client for business lunch, or casual dinner. The exposed brick backdrop showcases the long bar. I'm thinking it may be busier after hours because it is never quite full at lunchtime. Really enjoyable, very good food and... More

The new Towson Tavern was thoroughly enjoyable. The valet parking attendant was efficient and very welcoming which just started the whole experience off right. Kudos. Waiter was knowledgeable of all the dishes and when asked recommended a variety not just one but a couple of items. Three of our four choices where his recommendations and he was definitely right on.... More

We had an excellent meal. I'm glad it was Restaurant Week. The regular prices seem a bit steep. I had the short rib entree. The short rib was blazing hot, but the mashed potatoes were lukewarm and the asparagus was practically cold. Even so, it was delicious. My husband had the tater tot appetizer - it was huge with 3... Stopped here after an evening of holiday shopping. Great beer selection and although not an extensive menu, the food is excellent . Crab soup is some of the best I have had. Salads were good with local products used, when possible. Hamburgers cooked to ones liking. Service was a bit slow the evening I went, but, most likely due to... More

This was a bit of a surprise considering the location and history of the immediate area. The Cream of Crab soup was fantastic, full of crab meat. The entree choices were okay, but might have been a bit pricey. My wife enjoyed her meal (Sea Bass), but complained that everything was a little on the colder side. The valet parking... More
