I have been there more than once . Every time the food was over cooked the service was slow. I will pass on this restaurant .

The Orient Restaurant offers cheap Chinese food and sushi (I've never had the sushi though). The food here is okay, at best. It's hit or miss with the dishes that you order. Sometimes, it can be drenched in oil. Sometimes, it can be rather tasty and satisfy your Chinese cuisine craving. This place is also quite spacious and has a... More

Friendly staff. They keep my water glass full (one of my criteria for good service). The place is very family friendly...... but large enough that groups with active or loud children can be seated away from the other diners. They have sushi and the sushi lover in our family likes it enough that the Orient has become our go to... More

I've been going to The Orient for years. Whenever we bring friends with us, or share our carryout, they rave. My favorite dish is their Kung Pao chicken, which is quite spicy, but loaded with chicken and peanuts. I've never really had an entree there that I didn't like but always go back to the Kung Pao. Atmosphere and decor... More

On my first trip to the Orient, I was dissapointed. The menu boasted sizzling rice soup, something I used to love back the days when Ming's of Timonium was flurishing. The presentation, rice sizzling as it's added to the hot soup, the aromatic aroma and the taste of a slightly sweet tomato base was unusual, and very flavorable. The orient... More

We like this place a lot, but find we don't go because of the parking situation in Towson..it's a pain. The food here is great, only problem is ... I don't crave Chinese often so don't eat it often, only like 4-5 times a year.

Ive eaten here several times and the food is simply delicious. Unlike many other places, this restaurant has always been very generous with their portions and ingredients. I've been ordering the Hunan shrimp pretty consistently and it's great. The sushi also does not skimp on the fish and it's always fresh. Only problem is the parking situation outside.

Just had a terrific dinner here tonight. I'm a big fan of Chinese food so we make our pilgrimage all over MD & DC in quest of new Chinese restaurants. Tonight I ordered the dinner special which came with wonton soup and an egg roll. My egg roll was perfect!. To too heavy or greasy. The wonton soup had a... More
