Ok so India is not really the place to go if you like to have a beer with meals. You have to search it out. The Harbour Restaurant is on the beach, on opposite side of road. It's ok, pretty budget place but 650ml kingfisher was 110 rupees. Food is served at lunch and dinner but we were there between... More

Realistically it's a drinking hole, and has everything that comes with that in India, dark, loud, dirty and poor service. Food was ok, the place on the beach side of the road beginning with an A is far better. What I got irritated most by was drunk locals trying to sell me drugs or asking for money, not what you... Nice location - saw an amazing thunderstorm rolling in off the Arabian Sea - and the beer was refreshing. The food was a bit bland and gloomy - not a patch on the restaurants in town.

Very good food for a good price at this restaurant....just have a walk on the beach at sunset before eating there.... a lot of men eating there or i should say drinking....the place offers Kingfisher beers for a good price....sometimes some customers, a bit drunk could be annoying, but the food is very good....

Friendly service. Good menu. All cooked from scratch apparently. Free snacks. Good selection of bottled beers. Right on the beach front. Rickshaws right outside to carry you home.Very nice!

It is a great place to hang out in towels. The options are limited for dinner and never order cold coffee. the washroom (yes they have combined one) is a disaster and the place is not on the beach.

Tried this as we had been let down by our supposed 5* hotel restaurant. Menu had great variety. Food was well cooked and very good value for money with good beer.

Great place for a pint and snacks. Food looked good but when we went in at first the staff told us no food available even though there was... But no dramas they have good beer!!!

Whilst the place looks like a cafe, the food is of an extremely high standard, from the same kitchen as the more formal restaurant upstairs, Chakara, open in the evening. Great food & service and great value.

Some people have not liked this place because of supposed anti women stares by the locals. Quite frankly my wife and I used the place twice, once at night for a meal and again on our way back to the hotel after a days very hot walking around Alleppey. On both occasions we found the atmosphere posed no threat whatsoever.... More
