Had dinner here recently and was very pleased with the food. the service was good and friendly too. Locals and apatsmade for a pleasant evening
The lasagna was great. My friend had the Chicken Cordon Bleu several times during our stay. Mashed potatoes- yum. It's been a while and we still talk about it.
This is used to be a bit of a gem, looking like a standard hole-in-the-wall traveller café. Their food was surprsingly good and they even managed to bake a proper authentic German cheesecake, all at very fair prices. And not to forget, at 1.50$ they had the best value cappuccino in town. We learned of Cafe Malay from our hotel manager at The Columns. We had a very enjoyable lunch at this small restaurant tucked away up a side street near the River. Without the recommendation we may have missed it as its quite small! The kitchen and bathroom were very clean. We had been in Kampot two days and hasn't tried... More
This restaurant was recommended to us by friends in Kampot, and their judgements was good. My chicken curry and my wife's sweet and sour pork were generously portioned and delicious. Good value too, and the service was efficient.
On a hunt for Amok on our last night in Kampot we found this place. The staff here are really sweet and polite, the food was delicious, chicken Amok and the biggest salad I've seen in all of Asia. Prices are reasonable too for the other restaurants that surround it.
Nice little restaurant with extremely tasty food (the German Schnitzel and the Cordon Bleu are especially good, also the pizzas) near the riverfront opposite the new market. Very good value. Friendly and unobstrusive staff! Go visit!
We visited Cafe Malay for breakfast in March (we were the ones cycling around SE Asia on a tandem). Had fantastic coffee, and delicious french toast. The staff were lovely and service was great. If you're anywhere near Kampot then Cafe Malay is a must do.
Malay Cafe is a 'run of the mill' cafe in Kampot offering cheap meals near the river front. The food and service were fair but not outstanding. I tried their Fish Amok which was passing fair but not up to the standard offered at other restaurants/cafes in Kampot.
