Great little place

I stopped here at 1:00 in the afternoon not having eaten all day and was glad to get biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon! The biscuits are HUGE, so I advise only getting one. It was great service, a place where the locals go, and excellent.

everyone that i talked to and asked for a breakfast place recommended this one. Being a breakfast "nut" off I went to the diner. The o.j. is fresh squeezed for which you pay a premium, the biscuits are huge but overall, I have to say that nothing else stood out. Ok, it was a good breakfast but nowhere near my... More

As faithful patrons for many years, I did not review this before(last summer) because I waited for it to be good again. After a year, it's still terrible: the whole experience. At one time they had the best weekend breakfast: pancakes and biscuits. Now it's funky tasting pancakes and dry cat-head biscuits served cold by wait staff that have the... More

Smith Street is a great place for breakfast on a budget. The food was good and the price great. Breakfast was less than $20 for four of us and we were stuffed. Leave a generous tip. Be prepare to wait outside as the lines can be long...

I have eaten here plenty of times before. On a Sunday, I know the drill. Put your name in and stand outside and wait. But today is the last time. After waiting in the cold rain for 50 minutes, we observed two parties of three be seated before us (me and my husband). We were there so long we know... More

We stopped here on our way to Chapel Hill from Winston Salem after reading the reviews, and it did not disappoint. It is a small, local, noisy, fun diner with the most amazing biscuits I have ever eaten. They are huge, not just in size, but in quality. They were light, fluffy and buttery... everything you want a biscuit to... More

We ate a Friday night dinner here. Being a diner, we thought without seating signs inside we could sit anywhere. We were asked if we had reservations by the waitress! Reservations in a diner? Apparently they were having an Italian night and you had to sign up ahead of time. We were able to sit at the counter and snagged... More

if you like down home southern cooking, especially breakfast, you cannot miss this little place that Guy Fieri would love. The biscuits were amazing.

Our Greensboro friends took us here. WOW! Small place, always packed and the food is phenomenal. Among the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Biscuits are a meal all by themselves. Huge and fabulous. Had eggs with turkey sausage and spinach. Dee-lish. Pancakes are to die for. Only down side is the wait. We waited almost an hour on a Saturday... More
