Best Food Ever!!!🍴🍲🍴

I ordered their gumbo and it was so delicious. The gumbo included shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage, corn, okra, and rice. The food there is amazing and it's all for a good price!!

We go to Smith Street Diner for breakfast fairly frequently. Only tried lunch once and it was nothing beyond what you'd make at home, in our opinion (but a shout out for the cookies and cakes, which are very good). Back to breakfast...the pancakes are excellent...a bit crispy at the edges and perfectly soft (but properly cooked) on the inside.... More

People from the north might call this a diner, but it isn't. It's a 60's style restaurant that is as down home as it gets. Have you ever had a pancake that covers up a 12" long platter? That's just the beginning, the good news only gets better. From the time you sit down, order, take your first sip of... More

An average restaurant of comfort food that seems to very in quality. It does not have many of the dishes that made the restaurant a favorite of locals in the past.

My husband and I went with our daughter and my sister in law. It is a tiny little restaurant in the center of town. I got the BLT which okra/tomatoes and collards-- it wasn't tomatoes though but sweet tomato sauce. It looks like this place is the cheapest place to eat breakfast.

Smith St diner truly is hidden if you don't know where to look but it is well worth the search. My family loves going here on the weekends for breakfast. You must try the Mexican eggs. It comes in a huge bowl with grits, eggs, salsa, sour cream, and cheese and the biggest biscuit you've ever seen. The wait staff... More

everyone that i talked to and asked for a breakfast place recommended this one. Being a breakfast "nut" off I went to the diner. The o.j. is fresh squeezed for which you pay a premium, the biscuits are huge but overall, I have to say that nothing else stood out. Ok, it was a good breakfast but nowhere near my... More

I stopped here at 1:00 in the afternoon not having eaten all day and was glad to get biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon! The biscuits are HUGE, so I advise only getting one. It was great service, a place where the locals go, and excellent.

As faithful patrons for many years, I did not review this before(last summer) because I waited for it to be good again. After a year, it's still terrible: the whole experience. At one time they had the best weekend breakfast: pancakes and biscuits. Now it's funky tasting pancakes and dry cat-head biscuits served cold by wait staff that have the... More

Smith Street is a great place for breakfast on a budget. The food was good and the price great. Breakfast was less than $20 for four of us and we were stuffed. Leave a generous tip. Be prepare to wait outside as the lines can be long...
