Food is amazing here. Fresh seasonal seafood with some delicious staple items. Steaks and chops are awesome as well. Don't skip the apps or desert. The tuna and scallops are two of my favorite apps. It's pretty much always crowded (and very loud) so reservations are recommended. Bar scene is cool, I suggest arriving 30 min or so before your... More

The food here is wonderful. Seating capacity is limited, so be sure to get a reservation. One of Greensboro's top five.

One of the highest rated restaurants, we now know why. This restaurant was a JV between owners of another restaurant nearby and I can see that the quality and creativeness of combining unique dishes to build a gestured menu item was not lost. You could take 1618 and throw it in the middle of the toughest restaurant markets (Manhattan) and... More

Had dinner last evening here- my friend had the Sea Bass which was not only beautiful on the plate but the tastes and textures were amazing. I had the tuna- while the tuna was nice- the potatoes and cabbage overwhelmed the plate. Presentation was magnificent no photo would do it justice!!!

Sometimes, I forget just how good this reataurant really is - it remains fresh, creative, and interesting - something I'm reminded of every time I visit. The credit for this goes to Executive Chef George Neal and his excellent staff. And the service remains topnotch, especially in the bar area, where Melissa and her compatriots are excellent. They just introduced... More

Inventive chef with really unique menu options. Excellent food, terrific wine choices and good overall service. A bit noisy because of the décor and open ceiling (nothing to soften the sound) very eclectic atmosphere and very enjoyable.

A group of our business associates took a foreign vendors to dinner. Exceptional meal creatively presented. Our server, Damian, was top notch. If you're entertaining customers, GO THERE!

This is a very good place to eat. Nice and quiet. The customer service is excellent. The drinks are real drinks. The food is very good. Good place for anniversaries, date night and casual dinning with friends.

I've been to many restaurants good, better, best, but 1618 is extraordinary. On a recommendation of a customer, we took a group to dine. The waitstaff, location and personality of 1618 is a great supporting cast to the menu and it's diversity. I had the crispy chicken stuffed with macaroni and cheese, bourbon glazed over a buttermilk chive biscuit with... More

Wow! This rather hidden place is a dream come true for us. Elegant menu, great service, nice atmosphere, fantastic wine list if you need it and a $12 corkage fee. What could be bad! We were treated to a complimentary calamari app that let us know we were in for something special. Our tuna and scallop entrees were beautifully presented... More
