Birthday dinner was excellent

First time visitor and will definitely return again. Food was delicious, staff friendly and helpful. Tuna appetizer with soba noodles were excellent, the bacon and tomato orzo with the NY strip was to die for. They sent out a lovely key lime pie with a candle to celebrate my birthday. Dessert... read more

We made reservations for four on a Friday night. Felt really lucky to get a table at the last minute, and even more so when we saw how busy the dining room and bar were. We shared three wonderful appetizers, including the lobster chorizo dip and the calamari. Both were superior and served HOT! I had the Ahi tuna, which... More

By far and away my wife and I 's favorite upscale place anywhere around Greensboro. We try others from time to time and always compare to 1618 and rarely does anything come close to service, the food, the changing menu to keep it fresh and it is always great.

After ten years of being a patron of 1618, we might be a fairly good assessor of the ranking they deserve. Located in an old firestation, in the early days noise abatement was almost nil, causing an interference in casual conversations. But after addressing the issue, solving the din of reverberation allowed diners to enjoy the exceptional offerings. I can... More

Ate here with a large group on business. Restaurant is stylish with a great atmosphere. Staff were attentive. The food was fabulous. Presentation is first class and flavours were excellent. The blackened grouper main I had could not be faulted. My only slight gripe is that the description of the mains is a little over elaborate and could be confusing.... More

After hearing a lot of positive recommendations about this restaurant, I decided to check it out. It was packed the night we went there, so they put us on a patio table. OK so far. The service was really disappointing. It tool us long time to get simple basket if bread as starters. Drinks also took long to get served.... More

Had dinner here with the hubby after having had a business dinner here earlier in the year. The dirty martini is delicious! Mine was of the vodka variety with olive juice. The olive was stuffed with prosciutto and cheese. It was nearly an appetizer in itself. That segues nicely into the oyster sliders. Crispy with a delicate aioli, spicy but... More

The food was fantastic. The service was excellent. I would absolutely recommend the tuna dish with wasabi mash potatoes. The only improve was the margarita… It was OK, which was surprising. GREAT EXPERIENCE.

1618 beats them all, and there are some serious contenders. The tuna is their signature dish. Get the tuna. One of the best dishes I have ever eaten. There are others that are noteworthy, but their tuna beats them all. Worth every cent.
