Beautiful setting in downtown Greensboro

I recently visited the restaurant for a business dinner, we occupied two tables. The service was above average. After taking drink orders and serving bread and butter, we all had time to hear about the specials and to look at the menu's. I selected a very good dry rose to drink. My first course... read more

Went last night for dinner, everything was delicious! We sat on the patio and it was such a beautiful evening, with an ending of the night with fireworks from the Grasshopper game. I had scallops and my husband had the trout and it was so good. For appetizer he had the lobster spring rolls and I had the organic greens salad(which... More

Why we love eating at Undercurrent The menu changes frequently and always has interesting food combinations that excite the taste buds. The deserts are divine. Example: chocolate ganache with raspberry ginger coulis! The staff is superbly trained. The patio is wonderfully relaxing They offer amazing special discounts from time to time. The wine list is impressive. Drank a superb Sancerre... More

My wife and I moved to Greensboro over 10 years ago and we agree that this is the best meal we've had here. We both had appetizers, the pan seared scallops with red curry glaze, and then dessert, which we usually pass on, but we simply didn't want to leave! How can you pass on Basil ice cream? Such interesting... More

My wife and I decided to give Undercurrent a try after I met Chef Michael at the Got to be NC Products Competition Dining Series. Boy, am I glad we did. We knew Chef Michael was a great chef after tasting his food at the competition but this was a fabulous meal! We started with the Lobster Spring Rolls and... More

Our local friends took us to this restaurant, one of their favorites. The ambiance was pleasant and comfortable. The food was uniformly excellent. We had fried oysters and a shrimp/tomato soup as starters, and the four of us pronounced them as excellent. The main courses were trout, rib-eye and swordfish. They were prepared in creative ways with great accompaniments and... More

I've been here on multiple occasions and had lamb, bison, rabbit I believe as well as a burger, bbq and crab cakes. While the crab cakes were good they were pricey and not filling. Probably the only thing I would not order again- everything the chef makes is phenomenal. It's not a place if you want a cheap lunch, but... More

I was surprised at the level of sophistication on the menu and the execution of the menu. The summer fritters and the pork tenderloin w/ candied jalapeños- recommended The wine list could be expanded I would definitely return and recommend to others.
