3333nconsistent, especially at peak periods. I find going early can keep this negative aspect to a minimum. Parking can be problematic, but there is a garage right behind the restaurant. Finally, this is not the cheapest place in downtown Greensboro to get a salad or sandwich for lunch, but I find the experience of food and atmosphere to be worth... More

This is a true Greensboro treasure. Good food, great atmosphere, fun all the way around. Excellent wine list and terrific bar area.

A few of us were just roaming around downtown when we decided to stop at Liberty Oak. We asked to sit on the patio and were seated right away which didn't matter because we were ignored for 15 - 20 minutes. The food was average and once we got a server, the service was good. Probably won't go back for... More

There are apparently a lot of good restaurants on Elm Street in Greensboro within walking distance of our hotel (downtown Marriott), but we were told Liberty Oak was exceptional and was known for "farm to table" cuisine so it helped the local community. In short, good service, super delicious appetizer (ravioli with garlic spinach and tomatoes - definitely fresh tomatoes)... More

Stopped in for lunch and chose it because the patio was packed (usually good indicator of great food). We were seated fairly quickly. It was really nice inside and probably looks even better for dinner. There were so many choices on the menu that appealed to both my husband and I. Ingredients that you would normally not see together. I... More

We visited recently and were impressed with this restaurant. The food was interestingly prepared and very tasty. The calamari was average but the salads were excellent. The best was their martini list - different selections that normally found on bar lists. My favorite was the Fresca-tini - grapefruit vodka, Limoncello, a splash of grapefruit juice served in a sugar-rimmed glass.... More

We have visited twice. Once for lunch and food was just so-so. Highly disappointed in the gazpacho (more like salsa) 2nd visit was for cocktails. Bartender was nice and made excellent drinks.

On my most recent trip to Greensboro I tried Liberty Oak on a whim to change up my normal routine, and I was most pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was great, featuring high ceilings, and some original elements in one of the cities oldest buildings. The food was great as well! I started with a Crab cake, that while not the... My brother picked this place for his birthday. It nestled in downtown Greensboro and can be hard to see in the car. Luckily it's beside the big parking garage which is good for finding location but awful for a view especially for the small amount of outdoor seating they have. When you first enter the restaurant, there is a small... More

Food and service were super for this Good Friday dinner at Liberty Oak. We had drinks followed with great salads. Our entrees were shrimp and grits and shrimp tasso. Desserts were key lime pie and chocolate pecan pie. A dinner to remember for company and food.
