Great spot for a late snack

After sports at the Coliseum, and just minutes away, had excellent etoufee-style shrimp & grits, a tasty burrito, and an awesome (huge, delicious, and beautiful) 'twisted chicken' taco salad. Nice beer selection. Limited outdoor seating, but comfortable in or out. Park on the street. Easy and... read more

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food made me leave sooner than I'd planned. The mashed potatoes were good, but that's the only thing that really was good. I'll be back for a drink since it's dog friendly, but not for food.

I've lived in Greensboro for 20+ years. Came to Fishbones when it first opened. Used to go a lot, when it was one of the only places of its type to go. Still go, every once in a while. It's just OK. Burritos have a lot of rice. Portions, getting smaller every time I go, it seems. Sandwiches, too much... More

I have been to Fishbones several times before and been very pleased with the food. More often than not, I have ordered the Twisted Chicken Taco, which rivals the tacos at "Crafted The Art of the Taco". On this lunch trip I ordered the Smoked Salmon Sandwich. It was fabulous! Normally, I go for the fries for my side but... More

Atmosphere is unrefined but the food totally surprises. Service is always excellent and servers are knowledgeable and pleasant. Not a big place, Usually a line.

Took my wife and daughter here for lunch a week ago. Don't let the plain looking building / decor fool you; the food it really great. I had some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. This came with a side of Cajun spiced, grilled beans that were wonderful. Service could not have been better. The menu has... More

The food was superb! Doesn't look like much from the outside, but we were thoroughly surprised by their menu. Love the local atmosphere. Great service and drinks. The salmon sandwich and drunken shrimp were both amazing. Highly recommend it.

I ordered the crab bisque which was WAY too salty. I ended up not being able to eat it all. The others in my group were more pleased with their choices. I would be open to trying it again but ordering something else. The beer selection was pretty great though.
