Really enjoyed the food and entertainment

We were there for a Christmas party so I was a little concerned with over 40 people showing up at once but they did a great job. Service was good. Mee our cook was funny and entertaining. We had a sample of sushi which my husband enjoyed. The tempura was light and not greasy. The mayo sauce was the... read more

My family and I have been coming here for the past 16 years. The food here is so great. Ive been to other Japanese steak houses before, but nothing compares to asahi. The owner is always there and she is very friendly to her customers. Great place for birthdays, anniversaries or just wanting some good supper!

Unfortunately my experience tonight was not good to say the least. I took my son out to see a movie and then to eat at Asahi's. It's one of his favorite places. As we were walking in, there was a couple that walked in before us. The woman at the front (probably the owner) greeted all of us by saying... More

After over six years since my last visit I decided to visit Asahi with my family---never again. The service was terrible: we waited 30 minutes for water, then waited again to place an order. We then waited for Saki which was brought with only one cup for our party of three adults. We waited again for this to be remedied.... More

I eat sushi at least once everywhere I travel. I have to say, to find a gem in Greensboro, NC is probably hard to believe, but it was excellent. I was greeted right away and I ordered a small Ichiban. I then did my pencil order and turned it in. I ordered the miso and edamame to start. The miso... More

Honestly, I travel all over the USA and different parts of the world, including Japan. the sushi chef (Steve) is traditional Japanese but with enough American to create some of the best rolls or traditional sushi you will ever eat. For a small city like Greensboro, we sure have one of the best sushi restaurants in the USA.

My family has been going to the Asahi since it opened. My children have had their birthdays celebrated there for years and now my 6 year old grandchildren always want to go there to see the man who cooks with fire. They went tonight as it was their birthday (twins) and they had such a good time. They love the... More

Where Japanese eat. Sushi is good! Beer is icy. It's like Japan...I eat in the Sushi bar. Try the udon & tempura. It's noisy kid friendly and friendly.

Best food ever. Very nice sushi bar and table serves was great. I have eaten here multiple times and found it to be wonderful. Everything from the food to the people was spectacular. The owner even came to speak with us at the table making sure we were happy with our food. The portions where a little large at the... More
