Love the meatless and black bean burger! They offer unique sandwiches and are one of the few restaurants that serve Dr. Browns soda pop.

Being an ex-New Yorker living in NC its always been difficult to find a decent deli where the experience is close to what is found in NYC. Although this deli doesn't process there own meats (they use Boar's Head) its as close as I have found. I ordered the pastrami on Rye with carrots and blue cheese for my side... More

We had lunch on a Saturday at 2pm. The waitress was nice & knowledgeable. Enough vegetarian options on menu. Had the veggie sandwich on onion roll. Everything was fresh but the sandwich just fell apart. Cheese was absolutely delicious (Boars Head) Would like to visit again and possibly order a hot sandwich or plate meal.

Since my earlier review, we continue to come to First Carolina Deli from time to time. Service still prompt, knowledgeable, and very courteous. Atmosphere still clean, quiet and pleasant. Prices still most reasonable and portions generous. SkyDog still one of the greatest sandwiches on the planet, although others have their favorites. Eclectic crowd - families, couples, students, working folks; all... More

My wife, a friend and I went to this restaurant during the ACC men's BB tournament because we could not find any parking spaces at three of our favorites. I'm glad we did because I normally don't go that way very often and this turned out to be very nice. A couple of years ago, I remember eating there but... More

I'm a Greensboro native, so I frequented First Carolina Delicatessen and Lox Stock & Bagel (its sister restaurant) growing up. After living away for a few years, I was meeting my brother, who lives in the area, for lunch, and I realized I hadn't been in awhile and would like to try it again. I am reviewing just because I... A stone's throw from UNC G on Spring Garden Street, this deli has been doing a great job since it opened in 1985. Their uniformly good sandwiches, including a side, range from $5.50-$8.50. Beer $2.50. House wine $2.50. They use the best ingredients (Boar's Head), and are very skillful in preparation. Service is excellent too. The Sky Dog sub is... More

In town for a soccer tournament and looked for a local place....something other than Panera....to feed the team in between games. We showed up with a group of 30 on a Saturday for lunch, not realizing it was a table service restaurant. The owner and staff were very accommodating and helpful getting us seated and served quickly. Everything was DELICIOUS....and... More

Lots of great sandwiches to choose from. Corned beef is awesome. Hot turkey sandwich is my wifes favorite. Deli chips, beers, root beer etc. This is a great place for a lunch date or lunch meeting. It doesnt look it from the road, but its clean, fast, and delicious.
