"I am not a Greensboro born and bred chef. I have traveled extensively and chosen the concept here at Table 16 Restaurant from my time spent as a chef in the cities of Miami and New Orleans and from the style of food so abundantly found there. I have worked for two James Beard award-winning chefs, two others who have had the opportunity to put on dinners at the Beard House, and one who won the distinction of Iron Chef America. I have been employed in five different Mobile rated 4-diamond/4-star properties throughout the state of North Carolina and the South East.""I am a 38-years-old father of 3 children, and originally a native of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I moved to Greensboro 8 years ago to finally hang my hat, to start my business and to raise my family. I have grown to call this city my home and its inhabitants my friends. In return it has shown me much love and support. It is a privilege for me to find myself here, as a teacher, employer, family man, artist and business owner. "

Last Friday I took my former professor to this restaurant to celebrate her retirement. To say that I was unimpressed with nearly every aspect of the restaurant would be an understatement. Upon entry, we were not seated. My guest uses oxygen and cannot stand for long periods of time. We had reservations, but no one could tell us where our... More

We were treated by family to experience the Table 16 Thursday tasting. I was a bit hesitant as I like to know what I'll be eating before it is served to me - I'm not good with surprises. But it was fantastic! They will work around any food restrictions if you let them know prior (ours being pork). Everything was... More

Table 16 has very upscale "New World" cuisine, comparable to many Michelin 1 or 2 star restaurants we have tried in Europe. The food, and their recommended wine pairings, are just delicious, as well as beautifully presented. The restaurant is small and can get loud, and service slows down when it is full; just go early or late! The staff... More

I went there with my visitor from New York. I made reservation several days in advance but the table given to us was just next to the hole way and trafic was so bad and noisy. Foods are acceptable but not impressive. Just OK for business dinner if you like busy restaurant. I like Under Current, another neighborhood restaurant in... More

Dining at Table 16 on a Saturday night - and seated at table 16 - make for a great evening! My selections were butter lettuce salad (grapefruit, toasted peanuts, and goat's milk bleu cheese), silver weakfish (beet risotto, soft goat's cheese, and basil-lemon dressing), and double vanilla creme brulee. David was a very experienced server and made recommendations on the... More

While visiting from London we were recommended this cute little restaurant. The place was booked the day we walked in but they made arrangements for us to sit in the bar area which was still very nice. We did the tasting menu (6 courses) and thought each dish was perfectly paired and we loved our waiters! We would definitely come... More

What a great meal! The duck and crawfish gumbo appetizer was savory and delicious. The cheese service was plenty enough for the table and had a nice compliment of different textures and flavors. The braised lamb shank entree was tender and juicy, and its savory taste was balanced with the sweetness of the butternut squash puree. The rack of venison... More

Dined here with hubby for our anniversary. Get food was great and caters to meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The ambiance was great and the service was stellar. Although I loved the wine list, I wish they had a better dessert selection. Over all, I was pleased and I'd recommend it to couples and business parties.

Several business associates and I had a seven course dinner with wine pairing at Table 16. All I can say is WOW. This was certainly one of the best restaurant experiences I've had. While I could go on and on, I will just say the food and service here is top notch. Just go...you will not regret it!
