"I am not a Greensboro born and bred chef. I have traveled extensively and chosen the concept here at Table 16 Restaurant from my time spent as a chef in the cities of Miami and New Orleans and from the style of food so abundantly found there. I have worked for two James Beard award-winning chefs, two others who have had the opportunity to put on dinners at the Beard House, and one who won the distinction of Iron Chef America. I have been employed in five different Mobile rated 4-diamond/4-star properties throughout the state of North Carolina and the South East.""I am a 38-years-old father of 3 children, and originally a native of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I moved to Greensboro 8 years ago to finally hang my hat, to start my business and to raise my family. I have grown to call this city my home and its inhabitants my friends. In return it has shown me much love and support. It is a privilege for me to find myself here, as a teacher, employer, family man, artist and business owner. "

When my wife and I showed up, our table was 15 minutes away from being ready (we were 15 minutes early), and were offered to sit at the 2-seat bar while we waited. We looked at a drink menu for about 10 minutes before a waitress came over and asked for our drink order (no bartender). We ordered 2 cocktails... More

We heard great things about this restaurant and went for an impromptu dinner. I was pleased to be sat quickly and decided to do the chefs tasting. All the food was quite tasty, but there were a few disappointments. First, we specifically requested scallops as one of the courses and I am pretty sure they forgot because they were brought... We heeded your call and came over to Greensboro last night for the four-course tasting. It was... mmm, mmm, good from the very first bite to the very last. We didn't want to leave! And you are so right - weekdays are where it's at. Thanks again to Amy, Daniel, Lucas, and the whole Table 16 family!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Table 16 and would definitely return. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and wine recommendations. He also let us know about upcoming events. The food was fantastic and well presented. The hummus platter was fantastic and beautifully served on a marble slab. My husband's steak was huge. My fish was cooked perfectly. Great... More

I had the opportunity to host a business dinner at Table 16 this week. We opted for the "chef's choice tasting" where we could have tasting sample courses until we were ready to call it "quits." It was quite fun and the food was delicious, not to mention surprising. For me, the least exciting course was the first, a spinach... More

We had late reservations at Table 16 and they were still very busy and the servers were hustling quickly about. My husband had the lamb chops with sweet corn muffin with a cranberry chili bordelaise and I had the mahi mahi with honeyed spaghetti squash and shaved Brussels sprouts. The lamb was a generous portion and perfectly cooked and I... More

Went to try Table 16 due to the high ratings and after checking out the website. The gumbo resembled no gumbo in our experience. It tasted, and looked, like small pieces of chicken and some rice dropped into bottled barbeque sauce. The skillet chicken was accompanied by tasty grits but the chicken was rather tough. The scallop entrée consisted of... More

I went to Table 16 because they were relatively up scale and could accommodate a large group. The wait staff was excellent and the atmosphere quite nice. The appetizers were great but entrees not what was expected. 4 had Sea Bass which was tasteless and the prime rib was more akin to a ribeye. OK but I'm not sure I... More

We are foodies and truly appreciate when we can get something at a restaurant that not only is delicious but different than anything we have had. Table 16 achieved this stupendously! We had a small cheese service along with cocktails to begin with. It was the perfect amount so we weren't stuffed when our entrees arrived.3 types of cheese, crackers,... More

My husband surprised me for my birthday with a dinner at Table 16. It was hands down one of the best meals we've both ever had. I had the duck over lobster raviloi. He had the prime rib. I can't begin to describe how delicious all the flavors were! We ordered the house chardonnay - it was tasty, too! The... More
