This restaurant has been in Gatlingburg since 1980 that is a long time for a restaurant to survive in the cutthroat restaurant scene especially in a tourist town. The food is good but both my wife and I thought a touch bland. When I order General Tsau chicken, I expect some heat. I got none. Don't get me wrong, it... More

We were staying close by, so we called in our order, walked down and got it, and headed back to our room. Cashew chicken was great! We plan to check this place out again whenever we make it back to Gatlinburg.

We've been coming to Gatlinburg for many years now but somehow we had never tried North China. When we saw the little yellow sign and that it led down an alley we were thinking...maybe we shouldn't go here. But it opens up on the backside and has a very inviting entrance. We were greeted by very friendly staff who explained... More

It was almost day end and we had got late at one of our trail experience at Grand smokys. Since veggies we thought chinese or thai would be a good option and settled for North China after going through the reviews. They were almost going to close when we dropped in for take away. We got some veg rice +... More

First, I admit that I haven't eaten in every Chinese restaurant in the south. I have eaten enough to know that I'm never going to get the quality of entrees I get in New Jersey and Manhattan's or San Francisco's Chinatown. One of the reason the food is so good is that North China is not a buffet. They offer... More

We went in to have dinner. I was excited to finally find a Chinese restaurant that knew fried rice was brown, not yellow. Sadly, I was disappointed in the flavor and the rice itself. I can make white rice with soy sauce at home and it wont cost near what I paid for it, no vegetables or egg in it... More

Where do I start. Small, dirty restaurant. I wanted to leave after we arrived. We were seated near the kitchen. A very dirty looking "cook" kept coming in and out of the kitchen and through the front door. Our waiter seemed to be the manger or related to the owner. He was totally distant and unfriendly. He walked up and... More

I'm a dad who brought his teenage son and his four friends for a long weekend in Gatlingburg/Pigeon Forge. They were craving Chinese food for dinner and we found this place using trip advisor. It is down a short alley off the main strip, the other side of the road from the Pancake Pantry. They had a large menu showing... More

North China is always a must to eat at when visiting Gatlinburg! Service is always excellent. The food is fresh & delicious! Never had a bad experience. Price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
