Every morning we take a stroll to the Donut Friar. Love the donuts, coffee is good. The atmosphere is the best, in the little village of shops by the water fountain.

These donuts are nothing short of amazing! There is something about the smell of donuts baking in the morning......you just want to stand there all day and take it in! The service is great and friendly! Family-owned business and close-knit atmosphere. You can grab a donut and sit out on a bench in "The Village" where the Friar is located.... More

Donuts $1.79, long johns $2.49, pastries vary but I think the one we had was $2.49 also. The long john was very good and it was a large long john but I'm not sure it was worth $2.49. We really wanted to buy a dozen donuts to take with us for the next morning but they only sell them individually.... More

I have been visiting Gatlinburg my entire life, and this last visit with our children was our first time at The Donut Friar. We actually went to get donuts at KK in P.F. the night before we were to leave, for breakfast the next morning, and the line was too long! I told my friend that The Donut Friar was... More

We stopped for a donut or two. This place has a good selection. The donuts are not greasy and they go down easy. Try some and I am sure you will be back again.

When I bit into the cream filled, powdered donut...my comment was "THIS is what a donut is supposed to taste like!". I'm 31 and my 60 year old mom responded, "That is EXACTLY what I told your dad when we came here last time! And donuts used to taste like this when I was a kid!" So there you have... More

If you're craving a donut, this is THE place to go. They're fresh and not mass-produced, and they are way better than Krispy Kreme. They also offer a nice selection of coffee drinks. We'd recommend the chocolate eclairs and the cinnamon cake donuts.

We always stop in to get a donut while in Gatlinburg, which is twice a year. They have the best Boston cream donuts and one of the best coconut cream donuts we have ever tasted. Very small place but big on taste. Very small area to sit, but just a step away from outdoor seating. This is a must when... More

After reading the reviews you would expect this place to sweep you off your feet. It was almost 6.00 for a donut and a small lemonade. The donut was just a basic cake donut with icing on top. Something a local bakery would sell for under 1.00. The lemonade was so sour it tasted like straight lemon juice. Defiantly not... More
