Our party tried a bit of everything from the cheese Danish, coconut cream donut, glazed, etc It was all fantastic and affordable. Very close to our motel at Jack Huffs it was a great way to start the day.

My husband and I visit the area twice a year. Everytime we are here we have to stop by the Donut Friar for a chocolate eclair. Go! You will be hooked!

This stuff is so good!! Made fresh each morning and served nice and warm for $5.95. They also have a variety of fresh baked donuts and coffee. Beware though....they only take cash!! (there is an ATM located in the store)

Let’s just say these are the best doughnuts you will ever eat – and one of the best frozen cappuccinos I’ve ever tasted. I’m glad this place is eight hours away or I would have a serious weight problem. Fluffy, moist, sweet, I don’t think you can make a better doughnut.

Reasonably priced, very good doughnuts and pastries, all house made. good regular coffee. We go every trip and at least get a bunch and take back to the hotel / cabin. Much better than any chain - Dunkin or Krispy Kreme.

The Donut Friar is one of the many reasons why I love Gatlinburg! The vanilla frosted with coconut are out of this world!!

My family visiting from South America and I went into this place and while we were waiting to order, we saw the owner yell at the young girl working behind the counter with him. I honestly felt bad for her. He finally acknowledged us and we ordered a coffee. The coffee wasn't even freshly brewed, it had been sitting there... More

The donuts here are fresh, but to me they seem to be the same basic donut you might get at a grocery store. The place is open early, so it is a pleasant place to get your morning coffee and a donut if you are an early bird. Only takes cash, so be prepared or they have an ATM in... More
