First of all, this inn advertises as a wedding venue. I had searched high and low for a close-by, historical, fine dining establishment for the reception following my daughter's 4 o'clock wedding ceremony at Cades Cove Methodist Chuch. So I decided Buckhorn was my only option. Up-front and during booking, I heeded the STRICT requirement that the wedding party be... More

Based upon reviews from other contributors, we were expecting an awesome dinner. The soup was good, the salad very good (dressing tasty), but the main course was a total disappointment. The chicken was dry and atop a bed of rice. The broccoli casserole was mushy and not bright green; our conclusion was that it was made from frozen broccoli. The... More

For the Gatlinburg area, you won't find a classier, gourmet restaurant than the Buckhorn Inn. We stay at the Inn and we always enjoy our dinners here and usually invite one of our friends in the area as she is very picky and this is one of the few restaurants whe will eat in the area. Food is always freshly... More

The setting is wonderful -- the very epitome of an old-style country inn. Please note that the restaurant only has one seating per night, at 7 PM. The meal is a four course dinner with a set menu. It is popular with both people who are staying at the inn and others, so reservations are necessary. We thought the food... More

My husband and I love Gatlinburg and have go there for my birthday weekend every year. We always try to find one new place to discover with good food. After reading reviews we decided to get a reservation (reservations are a must) and are so glad we did. This was hands down the best dinner experience in the area. We... More

Located right off the famous "arts and crafts" loop about 5 miles outside of Gatlinburg, the Buckhorn Inn is a vacation destination in itself. We stayed three nights in one of the adorable cottages. The cottage was updated, well maintained and very cozy with a fireplace, jacuzzi tub and kitchenette. We were also lucky enough to get dinner reservations at... More

Do you remember a time when restaurants were quiet and intimate? I found the Buckhorn Inn to be that place. Excellent service, quality of food superb and the atmosphere romantic. The view from the restaurant was also breath taking.

My husband and I ate at the Buckhorn Inn to celebrate our first anniversary. I had done my research to ensure an amazing dinner and they did not disappoint! We arrived 30 minutes before dinner to enjoy the view and have a drink on the patio. I highly recommend this because it was a great view and there aren't many... More

We had a wonderful birthday dinner at The Buckhorn. They only serve one dinner sitting each night, with only one dinner choice, so be sure to check the menu when you book, to make sure it is something you will enjoy. That night it was Hungarian beef soup, a terrific green salad, pork chop with apples and pecan sauce, and... More
