Best spinach salad I have ever had.

My friends ordered the steaks and salmon which were tender and perfectly cooked. I loved the vegetable plate - where else can you find creamed spinach this good?

We have been regular customers at this Alamo for more than 6 years. We have never been disappointed. Their menu is huge, and no matter what we have tried it has been excellent. Service is always friendly, and helpful. It costs a little more, but it really is that much better.

We stopped at this restaurant our first night in Gatlinburg after a 9 hr drive from Michigan. We were all tired and hungry and a bit cranky. Our meals sure perked us right up. My husband and I each had steak and my sons each had a cheeseburger. The meals were excellent! The service was great! My husband mentioned that... More

We stayed down the road from The Alamo in Gatlinburg and drove by it every day of our stay. The parking lot was always full and the marquee stated it was a

I had "The Steak" which is a bone-in rib eye. Have never had a better steak in this country. Expensive but worth every penny. I'm local and know most of the restaurants in the county. This is the best. Gatlinburg isn't known for great restaurants but Alamo is an exception. I once told tourists not to go there and I... More

I know I'd like to. The place was recommended to us during our visit to Gatlinburg as friendly, upscale, and high quality. Friendly I'll give it, but the rest? Hugely disappointing. The first course of she-crab soup was quite good, but the steak itself--a $26 ribeye--arrived seared on the outside and raw in the middle (not medium rare). Worse yet... More

My husband and I have eaten at the Alamo many times. Our most recent visit was on Valentine's Day 2015. We called ahead to put our name on the waiting list for a table. The nice lady on the phone told us the wait was 2 hours and 45 minutes so we could take our time getting to the restaurant.... More

All items were fresh and excellent! Chargrilled oysters were almost as good as New Orleans. Prime Rib and Filet were perfect

I have to give major props to this restaurant. It is quite pricey but worth every penny!! We ordered the filet and it was the best I have ever had. The salad that comes with the meal was fresh; you could tell it had not been sitting, it was fresh-cut. I will definitely go back each and every time I... More
