A true gem

Loved this place! It's a charming tea house - the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. But the food - yum! Wild plum iced tea was out of this world, and we enjoyed the wild plum muffins. The tomato soup is the best I've ever had. We liked the fact that the menu was not your typical fried... read more

This is one charming place and on a picture perfect day to sit outside a great treat. This was our second visit last year I enjoyed the lunch so much if ever in the area I would return we came back for the lobster pie but it is so popular they ran out a little disappointing but the Salmon burger... The chicken salad was great. We all tried different desserts which were also delicious with the chocolate torte being my personal favorite. I loved the garden atmosphere.

My group and I were in Gatlingburg on a work trip, and I wasn't really sure what to expect from the town. It was a bit more on the touristy side than I would have guessed, and finding a healthier option when it came to dining was a bit challenging. One of my coworkers read the reviews for this place... I read about the tea room on Tripadvisor. On our recent trip to the Smokies...stumbled upon it and decided to try it out. A nice treat! Plumb Tea = Yes! Interesting food choices = Yes! Large portions = Yes! Large prices = Kind of! I personally would have preferred a smaller portion ~ maybe a lower cost. It's lunch, not... More

After going wildflower hiking with friends, we stopped for a late lunch at this out-of-the-way Alpine-style tea room in the historic Arts & Crafts Community. With its charming mix of rustic and shabby chic décor, and its warm and welcoming ambiance, it’s like being invited to lunch in the home of your favorite great aunt. The menu features home-made daily... More

We lived near the Smoky Mountains for 13 years and return as often as we can but this was our first visit to the Wild Plum. What a delightful surprise as we felt we had "discovered" it all by ourselves while out on a mountain drive. It is small and rustic and literally on the side of a mountain. Approach... More

This place was recommended by one of the gallery owners as the best place in town. It was so good the first time, we went back the next day for lunch again. I liked the food so much I bought the cookbook too!

Get out of the chain restaurants and predictable venues! Go to the Arts and Crafts Trail and stop for lunch at the Wild Plum. It is a step back into time. Homemade food, well prepared, attractively presented--this is the relaxing dining experience many of us hope to find, which is all too rare in our pre-packaged society. Chunky homemade chicken... Really only for lunch but awesome chef cooked lunches for lighter meal or full course meals. Seating and parking limited. I would suggest mid or early week to miss a wait time. They can run out of certain entries as they are only open 11-3 and everything requires prep. Great quality. $10-$15 a person on average unless you add wine.... More
