Stopped here with the boyfriend on our last day in Gatlinburg. I had the blacken rainbow trout and it was delish. Hush puppies, cole slaw and trout fritters were all made fresh in house. This is a great place to eat. Its small and quaint. Service was very good as well.

My wife and I had dinner at the Trout House and it was delightful. The food and service were excellent with a special "shoutout" to Trudy and Mike who took great care of us. The food here is definitely a step above. In fact, the salad dressings are made in the kitchen (loved the blue cheese dressing). I normally think... More

After a day of whitewater rafting and hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains, we were looking for a good meal with local cuisine and plenty of food. They had trout 16 different ways, homemade fried green tomatoes and freshly made pie for dessert. Yum. I think it would be impossible to leave here hungry. Also, this was the least expensive... More

We were staying right near here and the weather was raining so we wanted somewhere close. Boy are we glad we did! We were greeted by who I believe to be the owner and sat right away. He told us the appetizer special was fried green tomatoes so we ordered them right away. When we received our tomatoes we could... More

My wife and I ate an early dinner here and read lots of good reviews. We decided to go here instead of Bubba Gump for our seafood fix on the parkway. The Trout House was literally 2 minutes from our hotel so that was very convenient. This is a very small place, maybe 10 tables and is only open for... More

This was one of the less commercial places. Cabin decor, wood walls, trout figures everywhere. Very small place with a simple menu, trout about 10 different ways. They gave us as many hush puppies as we could handle, which is a lot. The place was pretty quiet and uncomplicated. None of that uptight, hipster stuff.

We love this little restaurant because they have THE BEST fresh mountain trout around. Wonderful slaw and hush puppies too. Would highly recommend Smokey Mountain Trout House to anyone who wants a great meal.

This was a surprise restaurant. They serve every version of trout you can imagine and then some. Smoked, grilled, poached and even Trout Cakes [ala. Crab Cakes]. Small restaurant, but friendly staff. There is a parking lot across the road that holds enough cars for the seats in the restaurant.

If you like Trout, this is place to go. This restaurant offered several varieties of trout (Blackened, grilled, smoked, fried). I had a very good smoked trout. It was bit a "smokey" but overall was very good. The owner and the staff were very friendly. The owner visited each table and chatted with us during our dinner. He was a... More
