One of the better places in Gatlinburg

This is a small restaurant that specializes in fresh trout. For non fish diners there is a limited menu of chicken and steak. Make a reservation. Parking is a across the street. Better than the glut of bland tasting places in Gatlinburg

The smoked trout stuffed with bacon was awesome! Don't expect a high end ambiance, but do expect to get good trout!

All I have to say is YUM. This place is small and quaint but packs a major flavor punch. Where do I begin... The hush puppies were AWESOME, and I thought, was the best thing I ever ate until the Trout Fritters arrived at our table. Needless to say, I thought I died and went to food heaven. I had... More

When we walked in, I should have known and walked right back out. But it was out of the way, we had taken the trolley to get there so we stayed. The restaurant was old, tiny and semi dirty. Our waitress was an old lady of about 75. She didn't wear a hairnet but carried the tray of food on... More

we eat at the Trout House at least once, every time we come to gatlinburg. Yes, it is old school, but for me, growing up in NorCal with a plethora of old school restaurants, I feel right at home. Our server tonight was Miss Mary, who remembered us from our last visit. Husband and I had the lemon butter trout,... More

The man that was seating people was not personable. But our waitress was great! The food was ok, the fritters were great but the fried pickles were too salty.

Has a nice supper club throwback cozy feel about it. They serve beer in nice chilled heavy pewter mugs. I had the smoked trout, and my wife had the blackened trout. Both meals were absolutely delicious. Great flavor and texture.

This is a fun, cozy, rustic feeling little restaurant. They have about a dozen different trout preparations plus steaks and a few other items. We had fried mushrooms and zucchini to start, both of which were great. The cornmeal breading reminded me of my grandfather's fry seasoning. I had the grilled trout, which was very good. Next time I will... More
