When my husband and I travel to Gatlinburg, we always eat at Calhoun's. The food is always delicious and service is great. I enjoy eating the "Ale steak" which has a delicious flavor and is tender. I had mashed potatoes and Spinach Maria as my sides. Both were wonderful. My husband had their barbeque for the first time and said... More

My husband and I had dinner here on our second night of vacation. Delicious! One of the best steaks we have had in a while. Get the "Ale" Steak with a side of corn pudding! You won't be disappointed. Our waitress was also very prompt and friendly.

This restaurant is toward the end of the busy Gatlinburg strip, so even on a Friday night, it was not too crowded. We didn't have to wait in line for a table, and we got to sit right by the windows, which offered a pleasant view of the street. Our server was attentive, and polite. I ordered a premium pina... We were served by different waiters, and both warned me concerning my order, so I could rethink and eventually re-decide. I like talking about the flavors with staff that knows the dishes and the beers! For the beer, I switched from the German style to the American Lager, because I was told the German style was quite bitter. But then,... More

We had dinner there. I had the hickory smoke prime rib and the wife had the ribs. Both meaks were good and the portions were large. No room for desert. Service was both pleasant and quick.

Just what we needed. Great food. Great beer. Great service from Josh, a true professional who sadly seem to be few and far between these days.

My pulled pork was cold, so i couldnt even finish it. Their sides (corn pudding & mac n cheese) were pretty good. Would I go back? Probably not.

We're far more comfortable in a national park than somewhere like Gatlinburg, so it was with some trepidation that we ventured into the morass of commercialism that defines it, but with no food on the park, we had to eat. Calhoun's was surprisingly good with really nice service. Our server was patient and offered a free beer sampler when one... More

We decided to eat here after hiking for 6 hours so, needless to say, we were quite hungry. We got seated right away and our drink orders were taken. Our server was great. His name was Josh. We enjoyed talking to him and he did a great job! The food was good and there was plenty of it. We will... More
