We have eaten here more than we now can count. Service is above and beyond. Know us by name even though we are only here a few times a year. The food is always delicious and well presented.

Just made my second visit to the Crooked Spoon last week and ordered the banana dessert again. Thought there was no way it could have been as good as I remembered from last year, but it was! Bananas caramelized with an amazing crisp sugar coating, complimented by a perfectly creamy vanilla ice cream, salty rum sauce and crunchy toffee pieces... More

We went in for dessert and a quick drink in July. The desserts were out of this world! A meal in itself! I had a Semifreddo with homemade marshmallow on top that was toasted. SO amazing! It was like a giant S'more! My husband had the largest piece of carrot cake I have ever seen!

The food and service are both awesome! It can be a little bit pricey at dinner, but it is so worth it. The French Onion Soup and Caramelized Banana Brulee are heavenly!

This is our 2nd year traveling through Grand Marais en route to the Boundary Waters and each year it is a "must stop and have lunch" at The Crooked Spoon. The food is great and we have never had to wait very long for a seat. Service is very friendly and very efficient. I love to hear the young blond... More

Lovely little gem of a place that we've heard so much "foodie" chat about but had never experienced. Welcomed heartily on a Tuesday, I had the Fresh Fish of the day sandwich which happened to be fresh caught Lake Superior Herring. I had it broiled and it came on grilled Ciabatta with red onions, lettuce, tomato and some nice aoili.... More

We have been at the Crooked Spoon more than once during our treks to northern Minnesota. And we always try to get to the Crooked Spoon when we do. For one thing the food is good, the atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly, and the music is enjoyable. Whenever we have arrived for a weekend meal, the place is... More

You could miss the place as just another store front on the main street of this fun town, and there is nothing to excite you as you step in the door. However, the service is friendly and the food is outstanding! Some unusual presentations with top quality ingredients. Each of the 4 of us ordered something different both times we... More

This is the second time we have been to the Crooked Spoon. It's become one of our must go to places when we are on the north shore. The service is friendly and timely (not too fast, not too slow). The ambience is great, even when it is crowded which it usually is. The Amish chicken is great as is... More

We stopped for lunch at the Crooked Spoon and tried the herring sandwich and turkey sandwich. The bread was very fresh and tasty, the fish was fine but herring. The turkey was good. The service was attentive. The cream of chicken soup with Kale was tasty. They had a selection of local beers on tap. Overall a good meal but... More
