Delicious Dinner

New upstairs bar overlooking the harbor helps pass the time as you wait for a table at this busy place! Our entrees were delicious and the staff friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our dinner and will return.

The menu has a good mix of safe standbys as well as a number of adventurous options. I jumped into the unknown ordering the Watermelon Soup to start my meal. It was excellent! I've never had such a thing. The cold temperature and spicy-sweet flavor was and unexpected dichotomy. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing the char grilled Spanish octopus - the... More

Food was good and the service was fast for a busy summer lunch. Spicey coleslaw was a nice choice and our server bringing over a free order of chips was a nice touch.

We both had the burger on the lunch menus my wife went with dill pickle chips I opted to add $2.75 for potato wedges. The dill pickle chips were amazing the burger was mouth watering. Unfortunately the extra I paid for wedges was disappointing. The wedges were unseasoned and leathery. Would go back again but avoid the wedges

This is one of my favorite restaurants not just in Grand Marais but anywhere. Daily fresh Lake Superior fish specials throughout the summer, locally sources greens and produce, craft beer from throughout the North Shore and Twin Cities. Staff is great. They now have a cool bar area atop the restaurant for you to wait for your table (expect a... More

Eat here for dinner with hubs after boundary waters trip for past three years - we send kids off to eat on own. Scallops are always cooked perfectly with an interesting bed - last night was hominy and corn. Bummer was that there was a lot of sand in the scallops which is off putting during an otherwise amazing chew.... More

We were there 7 years ago, and I knew the moment we were coming back that we HAD to eat at the Crooked Spoon. We had the BBq ribs and it was fantastic. The portion was very large. Love it here!

They told us their would be a wait even though there were 6 empty tables. We sat at the counter and discovered that the drinks list was horrible. Seemed like they had an attitude problem

Five of us ( 3 adults and 2 children) had lunch here on August 6, 2015 before hiking at the Judge C. R. Magney State Park. Everyone felt we needed foods to prepare us for this challenging hike. My daughter and I shared the "interesting" appetizer, supposedly made of salmon and caviar. We were surprised to see it served in... More
