This is a 5 star place to eat. I have dined there at least 5 times and I have never been disaapointed. Quite frankly I am amazed at the service, rotating menu and the quality of the food. more

What a find! We were looking for a special place to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and Chez Jude delivered! The reviews are right on. A welcoming yellow house with a lovely porch (where we decided to have our dinner) and a beautiful view of the Grand Marais Harbor, being greeted by the Chef owner, well detailed descriptions of the... more

After being told there was a 50 minute wait across the street at the Angry Trout, we headed to Chez Jude for a fantastic meal. The fresh salad was wonderful with a meyer lemon- thyme dressing. We loved the duck and rainbow trout entrees. We would have loved to try dessert but our 6 year old got a bit antsy.... more

Simply said the food is the best, the presntation extraordinary - I almost did not want to eat my meal, it was so beautiful on the plate. The menu is very creative hits all taste buds and price points, affordable. The Walleye Fish & Frites was the best we ever had. Kids menu is good, bubbles provided on the deck... more

Desserts were to die for - French Apple Tart with Fresh Sage Ice Cream and Chocolate Oblvion Palate were beyond... more

Fabulous food, service, and atmosphere! We met a friend here for dinner and everything was perfect. I wish I could have tried every dish on the menu. This is simply the best restaurant in the area. NOTE: TripAdvisor has/had the wrong phone number listed for reservations -- the number is 218-387-9113. more

An otherwise excellent dinner was marred by an unexpectedly high price for a dinner special - Yukon Salmon. Menu prices are posted (typically low $20s for seafood), but the prices of specials were not. My wife ordered Yukon Salmon per the server's recommendation, but the price of $38 was not disclosed. I was later told that this was a rare... more

We began and ended a week around Grand Marais at Chez Jude in mid-September. Don't believe they turned anyone away for no reservations either evening, but it filled right up, including the porch, even after the summer season. Duck breast was excellent, medium rare as recommended; grilled polenta was beautifully charred and delicious; planked lake trout was moist and tasty;... more
