Description: When it comes to our famous pies or our amazing breakfast, lunch, and...
When it comes to our famous pies or our amazing breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus the secret is simple - our first ingredient is always love! We are a family-owned restaurant that has proudly served up gourmet home-cooking and a warm atmosphere on the North Shore of Lake Superior since 1996. Our bakery boasts an extensive selection of berry pies, cream pies, and specialty pies, alongside cookies and cakes and other seasonal desserts! Pies are baked daily entirely from scratch using all of the best available ingredients to ensure a flavor unlike any other. But at The Pie Place Café, we're about more than just pies! Locals and visitors alike enjoy our summer breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. We've been called the best breakfast on the North Shore and it's not hard to see why with our popular Maple Sausage Patties, omelets, and pancakes. Our lunch and supper menus feature favorites like the Black Bear Blueberry Salad and Three Meat Maple Meatloaf - hands down the best meatloaf we've ever tried! Whether you're joining us for one of our namesake pies or an unforgettable Pie Place Café dinner, we look forward to making you feel right at home.

Awesome breakfast

We enjoyed an awesome breakfast sitting outside on a sunny warm morning! Enjoyed the views! It took a few minutes to be served, but worth the wait

Very unfriendly wait staff, and marginal food. We had a cheeseburger and the blueberry chicken salad. Very mediocre. There were very few people in the restaurant and the wait staff was less than attentive. We won't be returning.

I took grandma grandpa and 3 kids to breakfast, it took us 4 requests to get a straw for a toddler cup and another 5 to get his milk that came with his meal ( after we were done and had paid our bill) we were watching service for other customers being okay and the SAME staff were going above... Great salads and sandwiches--fabulous pie! Try the maple pecan--according to my 12-year-old granddaughter: "The best pie I have ever eaten in my life!"

We were on a 1 week vacation across the North Shore, and had excellent breakfasts almost every single day. The Pie Place ranked as on of the top two, along with Naniboujou. The omelets, pancakes, french toast, and especially the maple sausage and pies were stellar. The service was slow and they seemed disorganized, but the food made it all... More

This restaurant overlooks the bay in Grand Marias and has indoor and outdoor seating. Lunch was good ....food fresh and service was good. The price was moderate. Busy during the summer season when this town of 1100 swells to over 10,000.

We walked in and waited several minutes watching staff walk to and from tables. We were neither acknowledged nor greeted. I finally asked a wait-person if we could sit outside and was told "yes." He brought us menus and water. After we ordered he came back to the table once to refill our water glasses and ask if everything was... More

We're thrilled to hear the food was great, but we're disappointed the service wasn't right on par, too. That's never the experience we want to offer our guests, so we'll be sure to take your input into consideration moving forward. Even so, we'd love to invite you back for a taste of the pie! We're confident we can really kick... More

We chose the Black bear blueberry salad and the spinach salad. These were the best salads ever! On our last day I picked up the restaurants's cookbook.

Roxanne, thank you so much for taking the time to write us! It really puts a smile on our faces to hear from our fans, and this is definitely no exception. We are here on our way out of town and I hate that we have just now discovered this marvelous eatery! Our breakfast was out of this world! I had a vegetable omelet with their fried potato hash and cranberry toast. The omelet had mushrooms, asparagus, peppers, and tomatoes! Loved the hash browns. My husband had granola, blueberries and bananas

Good food, good service, great view of harbor, really good coffee. Dog friendly seating. The cranberry wild rice toast was exceptional.

We're thrilled the meal was top-notch for you! Between the food, the view, and the pup -- always our favorite guest! -- we're excited to hear the whole meal was a success. We hope we'll get to welcome you back next time you're in the area! Until then, Your Team at The Pie Place Cafe More
