Been coming here for years. Each time was pretty good or very good food with great views. Still great views from the dock. This year was not good experience due to food and server. No trout available, out of soup, fish sandwich containing mostly lettuce, & my entree was $25 that was mostly a salad with very little fish as... More

Awesome grilled whitefish! Huge portion served with salad and waffle fries or rice. I think all the food served is local. They make their own salad dressings we had maple mustard and tomato basil.

My daughter and I had a fabulous dinner here! We waited about 45 minutes because we wanted an outside table, but that wasn't an issue as there's lots to explore in the area. We had a great view of the lighthouse and harbor while we enjoyed our wine with the bread. We both ended up ordering the same meal, the... More

The Angry Trout Café offered a delicious walleye dinner in a casual relaxed spot on Superior. Despite a screaming 2 year old behind us, and waiting 40 minutes for a table, this was probably the best restaurant in Grand Marais.

This is always our preferred restaurant when visiting the North Shore in Grand Marais, get there with plenty of time, because you will have to wait. Great food and even greater Views of Grand Marais and the harbor. They use fresh ingredients, most of which are local. Good service, a must when traveling in the area.

We arrived in time for lunch were promptly seated by a server who's shirt was covered in perspiration...not something you want to come up to your table in a dining environment. We we given menus, and he advised us they only had whitefish that day...which is fine...except you are suppose to be a fish house, so I would think they... More

I absolutely loved my dinner here. The service was fantastic! I would highly recommend stopping by and having dinner here if you are in the area. I sat outside by the lake and enjoyed the atmosphere just as much as the food. I can't wait to go back during my next visit.

We were so impressed with everything about this little restaurant nestled on Lake Superior - beautiful view of the harbour from the outdoor patio where we ate, very friendly servers, food was delivered quickly, presented beautifully and tasted delicious! I had the grilled whitefish with garden salad and waffle fries and my husband had the deep-fried fish with the salad... More

A excellent family restaurant with fresh fish. I ordered the fish and chips and they were excellent. Great view on the water of Lake Superior.
