Good food and the best waiting area!

We arrived at a busy time but there were plenty of chairs outside to watch the activity in the bay and just enjoy the bay along with the beverage of your choice! We had to wait quite awhile for a table. Who cared we were on vacation!!! We had smoked trout for an appetizer also on the tray was strawberries and smoked white fish. Really good and presented very well. My husband and I had fish platters and my son and his wife had full dinners. the fish on all for meals... More

The views can't be any better, you can't get closer to the lake. There is a boat docked right outside that caught your dinner earlier in the day. Unbelievably fresh, and grilled to perfection!

We were here on a Sunday evening when not too many restaurants were open. The service and food were very good and the view of Lake Superior was awesome. We had the Grilled Salmon with wild rice - outstanding!!

We were really excited to celebrate our anniversary here. This is an establishment we've been planning to visit since our honeymoon in Grand Marais last year. We were excited about their sustainable values and mission and thought we'd be in for a real treat. The ambiance, concept, food, and view could've been great but terrible service failed to drive it... More

This is a lovely restaurant with great food, ambiance and local art. We were two and each ordered one of the featured fresh fish of the day - menomonie, a smaller whitefish available locally in the spring, and lake trout. Simply grilled and delicious, they were accompanied by generous portions of salad, dressed with house-made vinaigrette, and either wild rice... More

Disappointing experience here. Stopped by after a trip to the Boundary Waters. Beers were all "local" and had nothing for the average beer drinker. No Coke or Pepsi products, only strange bottled beverages. All the dinnerware appears to have been recycled. Worst of all, every member of the staff looked like they hadn't seen a shower in about a week.... More

It was an average restaurant, with ok food. The best parts of the restaurant are the views, and interesting name. It is a touristy restaurant. Would not recommend going if you are looking for fine dining.
