Great beers and food

Stopped on our snowmobile trip. Great local beers, and food is really good. Tried the mushroom appetizer, very good.

When i walked into this location i did not expect the type of food that i received. This place had the best value and tasted the absolute best. I will be sure to stop at this location every time i am up in GM.

Great beer - loved all of their varieties! Can't wait for them to start serving growlers! We ate here in January many years ago, and the food was great. We haven't stepped in due to trying to eat our way through Grand Marais ever since. We stopped in for lunch, had a beer flight (yay!) but sat for a very... More

Way over priced food, slow service. $25 for a small pizza, $7 for a bowl of soup. Very disappointing.

We happened to come upon Gunflint Restaurant and was really pleasantly surprised. The food was good, the service great and the little souvenir shop was the icing on the cake. We will be back.

I have been here several times and enjoyed each visit. The menu continues to be extensive and excellent. I have never been disappointed with the preparation or the service. I always look forward to a visit here and to be in such a warm and friendly place. And to be able to enjoy a meal with such a beautiful view... More

We loved everything about this place. We even purchased the t-shirts because of the meaning behind the logo. Read about it on the Gunflint Tavern website--the meaning is wonderful.

Interesting menu with tasty selections. We especially liked the mushroom stuffed potstickers. Great appetizer options. A good selection of locally brewed beer. Fun to meet others here.

Great atmosphere. It's a little dark, older people might have trouble reading the small type on the menu. We had fisherman's stew, ravioli, pizza, a turkey sandwich, and a hamburger. Everyone agreed the food was very good, very flavorful. We also had the creme brule, split between five, it was gone in about 30 seconds. Great draft rootbeer, parents say... More

We love the GFT!!!!!!!! My wife and I love to be on the north shore of Lake Superior. We love to hit all the state parks between Gooseberry and Pigeon River. We visit at all times of the year, often when it is quite cold. As a photographer, I am outdoors and on foot much of the time. The Gunflint... More
