Another great meal!

We stopped for dinner on our way to the Bluefin Resort. Our past meals at the Gunflint have always been very good, and this time was no exception. Their soups are always a hit with us so we decided on the beer cheese soup this time and it was very good. We also shared the Jalapeno Popper... read more

We stopped in for a drink and after seeing the menu decided to stay for dinner. Wow! The menu covered a lot of territory...it was hard to choose just one of the entrees. My boyfriend had the Big Bowl and loved it and I took the barkeeps recommendation of the vegetarian chili and it was outstanding. Wish we lived closer... More

Had the pleasure of getting a beer as well as dining at the Gunflint Tavern on the last visit we had up there. I had the tuna salad on bread which was great. My BF and I each tried a different type of beer. Both the light and dark beer were excellent. Love the local vibe here too.

This is a fun place to eat. The food is good and there are a wide variety of choices. The night we were there (Friday after Thanksgiving) it was very busy and crowded. If you are interested they do brew their own beer too.

Excellent service, food and ambiance on a busy New Year's Eve Day in Grand Marais! The food was outstanding! We had the stacked enchilada (amazing!) and the Carol hot sandwich (awesome!) and enjoyed every bite, along with a tasty Bloody Mary! Highly recommend!

Although we have been to the Gunflint Tavern many times -and always loved it - I didn't realize it had a separate lunch menu. I had the caper egg salad sandwich -served open-faced on three pieces of baguette - and found it delightful - the perfect flavor combination. Now I have to decide next time between my usual favorite (... More

It is not well advertised, however, the Gunflint Tavern brews their own beer and it is fantastic! While all the beers brewed in house had spot on flavor profiles, we especially enjoyed The Hungry Jack Porter! Additionally, the food at the Gunflint Tavern is a tasty treat on the North Shore! The vegetarian chili, and mussels are both palate pleasers!... More

I drove up here over a holiday weekend with several members of my family who tends to be rather picky eaters. However, the menu had something for everyone, including gluten-free options. They also had a very good list of local and "normal" beers as well. If there was one drawback the service was not very friendly.

We were a party of four that visited this restaurant while in town for a few days. Food was grossly overpriced based on the quality of the meals we had. We were not impressed with a single thing we ordered and based on the cost, our expectations were high. Our server got my drink order wrong and needed to be... More

We visited the Gunflint Tavern this past weekend, and overall it was good. The staff were friendly, and they had live music Fri/Sat. The beer & wine lists are great. The food is your typical pub food. Nothing too special, & they don't have fries. Just chips as a default side. I'd recommend it for a couple of drinks for... More
