I have been eating here with my family for over 15 years. We always try to plan our vacation so we can attend their Sunday brunch. Never disappointed with attentive servers, atmosphere, cleanliness, and amazing quality of food. While you might not see a vast array of options at a typical, all-you-can-eat buffet, it is more about quality than quantity... More

I'd heard about Naniboujou for years and recently had a chance to see it for real. We drove up the shore from Grand Marais and had lunch there. I was absolutely captivated by the place: the other-worldly decor (Cree Indian designs, actually), beautiful bright colors, the wonderful expansive lawns bordering on beautiful Lake Superior, complete with a lovely rock beach;... As guest at the lodge, we had breakfast and dinner here. The food is high end and the service is gracious, but relaxed.

We have visited Naniboujou many times over the past twelve years and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent no matter the occasion...last time I bought their cook book and have tried some of our favorite recipes. We have also appreciated that there are no telephones or televisions in the rooms or the solarium, their lounge. One of... More

We come here every year and are never disappointed! I have to eat gluten-free and it was such a treat to learn that they have gluten-free options and last year they had fantastic g-free muffins at breakfast. The lodge is beautiful and quiet and it is always difficult for us to leave after only three nights. We always book next... More

Just sitting in this amazing dining room is such a pleasure. And the food is great. Staff is so friendly and helpful. It feels like you've stepped back in time - in the best sense. When you're on the North Shore of Lake Superior, be sure to travel north to have a wonderful time at Naniboujou!

Our family first visited the Naniboujou Lodge in 1980. Coming from Iowa and being surronded by corn to, find a "rustic" lodge that was so close to Lake Superior was incredible!!! Since 1980 our family has made eleven more vaction trips to the Naniboujou Lodge and each trip has been magical. The meals at the resturant have alway been excellent and... More

My husband and I have made the trek up north from Minneapolis several times to eat dinner at the restaurant with the most beautiful Native American painted ceiling in the world. The service is efficient, warm and friendly, and the food is delicious! The whole experience is unlike any other place. And please spend the night, as the lodge is... More

A while back, my German cousin, from Bonn, visited us, and we could think of no better introduction to our American family's region of the US than to take him to the North Shore and Naniboujou. Our visit was magical, beautiful Lake and moon, great brunch complete with German-speaking hostess, and the lodge staff's flying a German flag. We were... More

The facility was going to be a great getaway for New York big wigs and then the crash of 1929. The decor is unbelievable. The service staff was excellent . The food was ordinary. The baked Brie was very good. The steaks were thin and over cooked but then it is difficult to cook a steak that thin rare.
