We were staying at Temperance Lake, and drove an hour to get to this great little lodge on Lake Superior. We had a great lunch in one of the neatest rooms I have seen. Our meals were great, they even an offer afternoon teas. Try the onion soup! Wait till you see the rock fireplace and painted walls Walls are... More

My husband and I went for lunch at Naniboujou's in August and will go again next time we travel to Grand Marais. The interior was amazing and the food excellent. The staff was very friendly and after we ate we went to sit on their deck for a while and then on their adirondack chairs right by the shore of... More

a quick hop from Grand Marais and worth a stop to see the historic lodge and restaurant. We dropped in for tea one day and breakfast another. Somewhat expensive menu, but you can get around that. The dining room is uniquely beautiful and unlike anything you will ever experience.

This historic building and dining room always comfort and relax me. Enjoyed a dinner meal of pork tenderloin that was absolutely wonderful, moist well prepared meat with a sauce that was a great compliment. Service was smooth and informative. Even though we were a group of 2 and there were 3 tables with over 8 people at them, our meal... More

When you're visiting the North Shore of Lake Superior, you really do need to stop at the Naniboujou Lodge Restaurant. It was built in 1928, failed in 1929, got revitalized along the way, and is linked to the likes of Babe Ruth and Jack Dempsy. The colors in the dining room are amazing! The food and service is great. It's... More

My husband and I went for dinner at the lodge after a referral from the motel we were staying at. Walking into the massive, colorful dining room was breathtaking. We were seated right in front of the huge stone fireplace and enjoyed soft classical music playing. If the atmosphere wasn't over the top already, our dinner entrees were. My husband... More

This is an excellent all-you-can-eat brunch, with all prepared and served well in a striking environment. The planked salmon and herbed roasted potatoes were especially good.

Quite possibly the most impressive dining atmosphere I've ever enjoyed a meal in. We had two lunches here over a week, the second time because we had finished a long hike at the Magney State Park across the road shortly before. A variety of dishes were ordered for the four of us. Both times I had a wild rice burger.... More

I stopped in here for lunch because a friend recommended it for the atmosphere. The Lodge is beautiful, and the staff didn't mind us wandering the grounds. The lunch was fabulous, with unique menu items. I had a delicious asparagas soup with a yummy sandwich with homemade bread and a local berry jelly, cheese and turkey. The coffee was also... More
