For nearly 30 years this has been a destination for brunch, lunch and dinner. The setting is historic and tranquil. The food is wonderfully prepared. You will be warmly greeted and cared for. Because we own a home in the area we have never stayed, but as we overhear conversations it is obviously a place to come and relax!

As we entered the historic dining room, it was as though we had stepped back in time to the 1920's. Vibrant colors and unique designs, created by a French artist, and based on the cultural roots of the Cree Indians, surrounded us. Suspended from the ceiling were a series of elegant chandeliers that dispersed soft light throughout the spacious room.... More

This place is worth the 15 mile drive from Grand Marais - what a cool place/story! We had the Sunday brunch which was delicious. The Naniboujou is a visual and culinary delight

The intent was to have a snack after our hike to the Devil's Kettle Falls but we ended up eating a second lunch. The husband enjoyed the burger, the 5 year old enjoyed the mac n cheese and I loved, loved the chocolate cake. Very good service. Enjoyed the Cree Indian riot of colors on the walls and ceiling. We had... More

One must stop and have a meal at this incredible restaurant that has superior home cooked meals and local flavors. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals and not to be missed. I've had the afternoon tea with sandwiches and such which was a meal in itself and have had dinners which were very delightful. Enjoy the awesome history and... More

What a find! Wish I lived in Minnesota just so I could stay at the lodge and eat at the restaurant. The Daisy custard dessert is a small taste of wonderful.

Naniboujou is nestled in a wooded area overlooking Lake Superious a short drive North of Grand Marais. The building structure -- especially the interior -- is georgeous. And the Sunday brunch buffet is a steal at $22! Great quiche, fresh made waffles, and amazing smoked salmon and thick-cut bacon, amond other breakfast classics. It has become a tradition for us... Upon our recent visit to Lutsen / Tofte we again visited the beautiful and grand Naniboujou Lodge restaurant. So lovely, family friendly, absolutely delicious and best wild rice veggie burger. It is always a 5 star experience. Special thanks to Cynthia who was so fantastic we returned for dinner the next nigh as well. Our sincere compliments.

A North Shore highlight that seems to keep getting better. We always do lunch here when we are in the area and are never disappointed. The food is excellent, the wait staff is fast and efficient and the dining area is a Minnesota treasure. This is a "Go Out of Your Way Experience"...don't miss it!!!
