We stopped here for coffee and rolls on our sojourn around Lake Superior. We had previously had breakfast. Word to the wise the cinnamon rolls are gargantuan. We split one and we're full. They are very good. Recommend this place.

I heard nothing by great reviews about this place from friends as well as online. Our experience was nothing to rave about, in fact I am going out of my way to state the opposite. As mentioned the service was a snails pace, we completed our appetizer and after some time waiting we inquired about the delivery time of our... More

Sunday brunch to die for. Also a formal tea in the afternoons with a incredible view in a historic facility. A no brainer if in the area.

After looking forward to Sunday brunch here during my planning of our trip to No. MN, I was less than impressed. The history and decor were notable and the staff wonderful but I felt that the brunch did not live up to the hype.

Glad we stopped by for our moring meal, it was fantastic. The french toast was awesome, the wild rice omelet was excellent. The building is very unique, worth the stop along. Stop if you can, it was worth it for us.

I wish I could eat there every day, for every meal. The food is delicious and also good for you. The grounds are beautiful but we didn't stay overnight this trip. Just had breakfast in the restaurant. The service is very quick and friendly and their coffee is good too. Worth the drive.

I've been here for breakfast before and had always been meaning to get back for dinner, so did last week. My gut instinct said to leave when they said they do not serve alcohol but decided it shouldn't be a deal-breaker. Always trust your gut. The French onion soup was good though maybe a tiny bit salty, but again, not... More

Stopped in for lunch - per a recommendation from someone on the road-the dining hall was beautiful. Original paint from the 1920's-remarkably vibrant and interesting. Grounds and lodge really pretty as well. Friendly service and good food. Enjoyed soup of the day (chicken and wild rice) and sandwich-both delicious. Chicken salad good too. It's worth a stop if in the... More
