I wish I could eat there every day, for every meal. The food is delicious and also good for you. The grounds are beautiful but we didn't stay overnight this trip. Just had breakfast in the restaurant. The service is very quick and friendly and their coffee is good too. Worth the drive.

I've been here for breakfast before and had always been meaning to get back for dinner, so did last week. My gut instinct said to leave when they said they do not serve alcohol but decided it shouldn't be a deal-breaker. Always trust your gut. The French onion soup was good though maybe a tiny bit salty, but again, not... More

Stopped in for lunch - per a recommendation from someone on the road-the dining hall was beautiful. Original paint from the 1920's-remarkably vibrant and interesting. Grounds and lodge really pretty as well. Friendly service and good food. Enjoyed soup of the day (chicken and wild rice) and sandwich-both delicious. Chicken salad good too. It's worth a stop if in the... More

We took our Mom out for her Birthday to this place, which rightfully had come highly recommended to me. We all could see why. If you get a party of 6 or more, make a reservation. We did, and they easily accomodated us on a Sunday. The food was outstanding, as was the service. The highlights were the Salmon (cedar... More

This is such an amazing looking place with tons of history. The food is pretty good and the service is very nice. I tried a walleye sandwich with yummy sweet potato fries. Allow plenty of time to explore the gift shop- I really like the handmade soaps. Also walk around and learn about the interesting history of the place.

If you choose to visit Naniboujou, and I hope you will, it's well worth your time to ask about the history of the place. This is one of the more unique buildings and locations on the North Shore, and you'll be surprised at what you learn. We've been there for both the Sunday brunch, as well as for dinner. The... More

A friend and I were staying in Grand Marais and asked about this place...it came highly recommended. We thoroughly enjoyed the brunch...great food and a wide variety. However, as much as the food, we found the dining area and the setting beautiful and alluring. The lodge sits right on the shores of Lake Superior, with some breathtaking views. It really... More

Went to the restaurant with the boyfriend after family recommended stopping here. He had the soup of the day and I had the French onion. Boyfriend said his was good. The French Onion is the opposite of a light soup, but good. I had the walleye sandwich which was good. Boyfriend had the walleye dinner which is lightly breaded and... More

Neat lodge with beautiful artwork. Food is delicious. Lots of gluten free options. Unfortunately the blinds in the rooms allow a lot of light in! I was up at 5 am both days!! When I approached the front desk manager about the issue she suggested we drape a blanket over the window. Very ineffective. This lodge needs proper window treatments... More

It has been several years since my husband and I found this by accident. It was a chilly, rainy late fall night and the restaurant far exceeded out expectations! We had no idea what it was about.....the ambience, food and service were all outstanding! I would really like to go back for a longer time.
