Healthy alternative

A good place to get fresh organic food to go for a picnic or stock up on food for a camping trip. Interesting bulk section, soup made from scratch, fresh salads.

The co-op is primarily a grocery store that has 3 pots of soup, a small case of sweet and savory fresh-baked items, loads of fruits, veggies, really nice selection of cheeses, and a well-picked sampling of meats that all make for a great picnic or sit down at their Wi-Fi friendly tables.

Because Art House B&B has a refrigerator or guest use, one of the first things I did was visit the co-op to get lunch supplies for the week, and a couple of entrees to reheat for dinner. Excellent place to shop!

This place is SUCH a boon to the community! It is a great place to "pop in" for a cozy lunch on a winter day - - such awesome, really really home-made soups and other great things to grab and go or to sit and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

I stopped here to buy some deoderant and I found tea I have been searching all over for!. Also bought a loaf of sourdough bread for the community soup lunch at NHFS. The bread was delicious. Friendly people that work there too.

This is such a gem in the small town of Grand Marais. The employees are very friendly. We were even able to locate number 6 coffee filters, which is something that is difficult in the Twin Cities! They have an excellent selection of different types of trail mix. The soup selection also sounded very tasty.

Wraps were very good. Very fresh and flavorful. Very nice variety of food choices. Wish the prices were a little more reasonable.

I have a child with food allergies and for this place to be there is a god send. If you have ever shopped at a natural food store/co-op style store you will love this place. The staff is great and they have everything any whole food store have. Prices are the same also

This beautifully stocked store features everything and anything I could have wanted from an "organic" or natural foods market. I could find all of my organic milk, breads, eggs, dry goods, vegetables and fruits. In addition, someone provides a daily supply of beautifully prepared wholesome sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. Try the "Triple Ginger Cookie" for example. Crusty on the... More

One of our "must stops" on the shore for resupply after trail trekkin up from Duluth. Great ever ready coffee and most of what you need. Hit it before 7 pm though.
