They have a special sharing menu (Buddy Burger) deal where you can split a burger and get an extra side for an additional $2. Wife and I split a Gunflint Burger which was ok but nothing special. I had fries which were good but wife had a cup of walleye and wild rice chowder. I wish I had just gotten... More

I stayed at Gunflint over the Labor Day weekend with some friends on a fishing trip. We had a great time fishing and brought fish to Justine's to prepare. For the most part, the kitchen did an adequate job with the walleye (but how hard is it to screw up fried fish). However, the last night we were there, we... More

My family had dinner at Gunflint and were underwhelmed. They were out of all of the walleye entrees even though it was only 6:30 p.m. and the restaurant was less than half full. The chicken wings were good and the olive and herb bread was very nice. My chicken was so overcooked that I struggled to cut it. The accompanying... More

We ate dinners only. Walleye with mango salsa was excellent. Pasta was not as good; Gorgonzola white sauce was rich with a slightly bitter aftertaste. I would probably not order it again. Sandwiches were great, the chowder could lighten up on the salt but tasty. I give them a b+. Service is friendly, a little slow but hey, it's the... More

I had the walleye wild rice Gouda enchilada .... Wonderful!!! Burgers and salads were delicious. The owner stopped to chat and recommend his favorites. Sunday night buffet on the deck!

we'd eaten at Gunflint Lodge once before and because of the restaurant we decided to try a vacation at the lodge for our 25th wedding anniversary. The expectations were high, the reality of this place exceeded expectations! There was solitude when we needed solitude, there was wildlife when we needed wildlife. And the restaurant offered us great meals throughout our... More

Normally kids look forward to malted milks after coming down from the high cliffs hike. But sometimes someone drops the ball (or forgets the order) it happens. Thing is, no one seemed to care, they just work there.

A fabulous drive down Gunflint Trail (beautiful scenery, esp seeing the tree blowdown) led us to the Gunflint Lodge, where we ate at the Red Paddle. We both had the fried walleye dinner with asparagus and wild rice-excellent! Desert was apple pie which we could have skipped, just average due to it really being a apple pie overloaded with walnuts,... More

Justine's is very nice family dining located in the Gunflint Lodge. The breakfast selections are varied, generous, and well prepared. The evening menu offered a variety of soups, sandwiches, and salads. There were weekend specials available and a full service bar. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, value, and presentation and it was a good thing because we were... More
