We tried this out last summer and were pleasantly well fed. The fish and chips were yummy with any of the three fish varieties of the day.

Excelent smoked and fresh fish right out of the big lake. Also was a huge fan of the deli counter where you can get great fresh walleye and fries. Limited seating but that does not matter. Grab your food and wander down the lake shore to watch the sail boats in the harbor. There is nothing quite like eating fresh... More

Stopped by here after seeing them on Andrew Zimmerns Bizarre Foods. A very small almost deli like fish market, not a whole lot of room to sit so if they are even remotely busy plan on taking your food outside or to go. My wife isn’t a big fan of deep fried fish, she usually likes it baked. Unfortunately they... More

My husband got the all you can eat herring special and he loved it. I got the whitefish and it was very good as well. We would go back in a heartbeat. The people there were very friendly too.

What a gem this family-run place is. They specialize in freshly caught Lake Superior fish, but also bring in top-quality fish and seafood from other areas (salmon, shrimp, crab etc.) There is a counter service cafe; you order and pay, then seat yourselves and they bring the food to you when it is ready. Do NOT miss the fish and... More

Had a chowder that was one of the best I've ever had. The fish and chips (cod) were good with teh fish looking almost like fish sticks but tasting much better. The fries as described in other reveiews are very good wiht the batter they use. Large selection of fresh fish also available.

Looking for local fish the knowledgable young clerk suggested the herring. All we could think of was pickled herring, yuck! The clerk suggested trying the white fish and the herring for comparison. Both were great cooked on a castiron skillet on a wood cookstove. The place was way cute, super cleaned and smelled great. We'd like to go back and... More

Right in town, near the North House Folk School. Tiny little place, but very good, very fresh food. My husband had the fresh cooked fresh, but I had a veggie wrap. All good. Fast food service, but better food.

Every time we are heading thru we stop here for lunch and it has never disappointed us. Nothing like fresh fish and crisp french fries with a cold beer sitting on the deck!!!
