The Dockside is tucked in just east of the North House Folk School and has great chowders and excellent fish & chips. A great value compared to the full-service / full menu places nearby. Also has a nice variety of locally caught and smoked fish.

The white fish is a choice I keep getting at dockside fish market. The ladies behind the counter are knowledgeable and courteous. I would suggest going later there will be less of a crowd. I brought two of my friends here and they both enjoyed there meal so much we returned again the next night for dining. Eat and enjoy... More

The Dockside was located within easy reach of our hotel although not within walking distance. It was easy to find. My husband wanted to eat walleye for lunch so we went there. It was disappointing! The fish was deep fried and rock hard. I had the whitefish; it was more moist than the walleye. The cole slaw was good but... More

Great fish and chips. Don't expect over the top service here, you order at the counter, and a while later the waitress brings a basket of fish and chips to your table. Fresh fish though. Kids loved it too.

Yum! We just discovered this restaurant and were not disappointed. My husband ordered a walleye basket with fries and I had a smoked salmon wrap. Both were delicious. The weather was nice and we were able to eat outside on the patio in back. There is a huge selection of local fish and we took some "on the road" for... More

Great food to eat in or take out. Great harbor view. Great prices. Bring your cooler and take home fresh and smoked fish.

My husband and I were disappointed by this place.... we were hoping for fresh, local fish - we received very 'fishy' tasting fried lumps of fish on soggy fries.... Watch out for the bones, they were prevalent and honestly made it hard to eat. For the price, I expected better. Will not return.

Had the fish and chips(whitefish) and it was fantastic. I also brought home a large chunck of smoked Lake Trout and that was also excellent. It is a very simple place but great food and the staff was very friendly despite the very busy store.

Really enjoyed the quick bowl of chowder I had at Dockside Fish Market. It was busy and offered outdoor seating as well. Giving it a 4 since I wasn't able to try other items. The salmon wraps seemed popular. Short walk from Nelson's and other cabins on 61.

The fishing boats come in to this place each day and their fresh Lake Superior fish are the main attraction for us. The fish and chips as pretty good, but not as good as taking the Herring, Whitefish, or Lake Trout fillets back to the camp fire and enjoying.
