My son and I ate their last week and it was very good. I had the ribs and brisket and my son had ribs and pork. We each thought ours was better.Very casual and clean place to eat. Big Frank came out and talked with us a little while. When he found out we're from Kansas City, he said "You... More

From the generous Sample Platter (for big appetites) to the Barbecue Nachos and Cowboy Beans. What a welcoming family experience. These guys don't mess around about being Texas authentic, and are being recognized by customers from around the world. This is a sure-fire destination on your trip.

The portions are huge so do share. The ribs are delicious but the barbecue sauce could be better. Extremely casual outdoor seating with plastic tablecloths.

The absolute BEST BBQ I've had since 20+ years ago in Texas. Got the sampler plate and almost passed out due to run-a-way taste buds. If U luv BBQ or have never tried it then look no further. This is a MUST EAT place. That's my story & I'm sticking to it.

Worth a stop-off for great bbq food. Good kids option. Friendly atmosphere. Good choice of ice cream.

We both ordered their ribs with cowboy beans and homemade coleslaw, not knowing their famous for the ribs. We were sooo glad we ordered ribs! Fall off the bone ribs! Wow like 6 ribs too. We will be back while here.

Located right on Lake Powell street near most of the hotels. They have about 10 picnic tables inside and 6-8 outside. 2 large drinks, 1 pulled pork sandwich platter with beans and slaw, 1 pulled chicken sandwich platter with beans and potato salad, 1 shared peach cobbler, plus tip=$30 It was much better than expected. Growing up in Kansas City,... More

In this refurbished gas station, you can find a place that serves good BBQ. A bucket of peanuts sits on the table to keep you occupied while you wait for your food, which didn't take too long to get there. A great place to each and interesting signs and memorabilia on the walls.

We went here for lunch and I had the sampler. The food here is great, nice juicy barbecue. The ribs and brisket were both tender and tasty. The is a great, very casual restaurant and was the best lunch we had on our trip. There was nothing on the plate that wasn't perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.

Big John's was just down the street after our tour of Antelope Canyon. The down side of this visit was they were sold out of pork ribs. The brisket sani was very large, the BBQ sauce was good, not too sweet but had a bit of a "bite", which we liked. The hot link was good (Farmer John Brand), had... More
