....if you're on a diet. Chef John is awesome and I believe his only desire in life is to feed his customers the best food they've ever had. You honestly won't want to stop eating. Not only is the food on par with any Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, but the atmosphere is second to none. Imagine sitting down to a delicious... More

The food was the best we could find In Gustavus. Chef John made some of the best food I've had all year. He personally came out and chatted with us each night. He cares about our experience. The service was prompt. We had an awesome view and BEARS would walk through the field nearly every night! We even saw EAGLES... More

Chef John takes pride in his kitchen. Not only did he change it up and surprise us every night with fabulous dishes he spent his spare time making homemade bread, pies, cakes and cookies. His use of the fresh halibut, tri-tip and salmon were fantastic. I didn't know you could do so much with it. Baked, fried or grilled it... More

You work up a hunger when in Alaska. I mean I'm up before 6 am each day fishing, hiking, kayaking, and doing all sorts of other adventures and that makes a man like me hungry when I get back to the lodge. I gotta consume calories to keep the energy up and I have to say all the food here... More

Honestly, I can't think of a dinner setting that I enjoy more than sitting in the Glacier Bay Country Inn Restaurant, watching bears and bald eagles out the large windows, sitting with great friends, and telling fish stories from a beautiful day in Glacier Bay, AK. I've dined at the restaurant at least a dozen times over the last three... More

My husband and I ate here for five nights and each meal was outstanding. Different choices each night, Desserts were to die for, especially the creme brulee, which was my favorite. I am not a big breakfast person, but could not pass up the fresh baked pastries, bread and donuts on different mornings. My husband always ate the eggs, bacon... More

My wife and I had dinner last night and it was the most enjoyable meal we have had in Alaska. There is a 3 course meal. First course was a chicken soup with dumplings. Main course was prime rib or halibut- we got one of each and split it. Dessert was chocolate brownies with chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup... More

My husband joked that my girlfriends probably felt sorry for me thinking he was dragging me off to some fish camp to eat hot dogs and beans, but they had no idea we would be eating like royalty every evening! Wow! Homemade olive bread, southwestern halibut, prime rib, French vanilla creme brûlée and blueberry cheesecake were just a few of... More

You're in the middle of nowhere, in one of the most beautiful wild areas of the earth. The scenery, the wildlife, the ocean, the fishing, are all as good as it gets. It would be just plain greedy of you to want to eat an incredible meal on top of all that. But, hey; why not? The restaurant at Glacier... More
