How do you take something as simple as a taco and turn it into something terrible? Read on. My family and I love to go check out the music at the Silver City Blues Festival over Memorial Day weekend. After an enjoyable day of sun and great grooves we decided to eat in our room. Using the hotel's guest book... More

My husband and I went to college at WNMU. The Grinder Mill was a part of our weekly life. We couldn't wait to head back to the grinder mill 20 years later during our recent vacation. It was like stepping back in time. Everything was the same. Even the shelf of coffee cups for the locals was still there! The... More

I had a taco salad, and it was delicious. Very greasy food but yummy. I would definitely call it comfort food. :)

Not a fancy place by any standard, but is a great cafe! Some of the food is pretty good. The green chile sauce was a bit salty and tasted canned to me. Prices are a bit higher than I would pay on a regular basis. Especially with La Cocina and Subway close by.

This is perhaps the ugliest little restaurant in town and the service can be slow and unfriendly, though usually the staff is indifferent rather than unfriendly. Seems to be a place for locals-only but they don't bite (at least not yet...). Okay, here's the deal: the green chili stew is almost always very-good if not excellent. Grab a quart to... More

Strange little place. It used to be open very late at night, at one time. The red sauce is really hot which might have, once-upon-a-time, appealed to the very late night crowd, but now it will kill your taste buds for the reast of the day. The problem is there are lots of choices for Mexican food in Silver City,... More

Have lived in Silver city most of my life....Bean burritos (refried beans) are excellent. Green chile sauce has good flavor but not too hot for most. Breakfasts are good as well. Authentic New Mexican food!!! Homemade tamales! Menudo!

Ordered a roast beef sub, the roast beef was the size of shoe string potato's, barely anything. Sub got made wrong, they brought it back, scrapped it off, brought it back and didn't put the things back on that I had ordered! food is sub par

Trying to find a restaurant open on Sunday in Silver City is not easy. We found this one and were very disappointed. Poor service and the food was nothing to write home about. Would not go back.

Anyone who would give this food anything other than fabulous must not know authentic New Mexican cuisine. Granted the place is worn and the ambiance leaves little to be desired but the food (especially the menudo) is amazing!
