Description: Well known lunch stop with outdoor patio eating area and air-conditioned indoor seating. The building provides extra charm - an old-style filling station - perhaps from the 1930s - rehabed into a friendly little eating establishment with surprisingly fresh, creative cooking.

but my mom never cooked like this! We just made our annual pilgrimage to have lunch with Manny at Cafe Un Mundo. As always, the combination of great, freshly prepared food and good vibes made for another memorable visit. We had two youngsters with us this time - we don't have grandchildren but when we are in Silver City we... More

We had been trying to find an opportunity to visit Cafe Un Mundo and today we finally stopped in for lunch. The hours are quite limited but this is part of the charm and fits in with the total experience. The roasted red pepper and lentil soup was amazing! It tasted like it was full of only the finest ingredients.... More

Four of us had lunch there last week. We had soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. What a lovely lunch! ALL of our lunches were wonderful. And the soups- I've never called anyone a "Soup Master," before, but it definitely applies here. Even the two different ice teas were great. It was a beautiful day and we dined in the back... More

Un Mondo closes around 2 PM. They serve wonderful soup and salads. They also have sandwiches. It is intimate and friendly. On warm days you can sit outside in the back garden.

All the food is made fresh daily and often features food with a local flair. Ambiance is lovely because it actually has TREES for outdoor dining.

We visit friends in Silver City once a year. There are an amazing number of eating establishments in town and we can only visit a few each year. We have only two "must visits" - Don Juan's burritos and Cafe Un Mundo. We love checking in with Manny, but we wouldn't come back if the food wasn't excellent. Today's lunch... More

Although this little cafe is not always open - it is worth trying to catch them when they are! Manny, the owner aims to please. he is there to greet and seat you and make sure you have everything you need. I've been eating here for years and have never had a dish I didn't love. They offer yummy soups,... More

This funky and off beat place had terrific food. I had fabulous chicken salad on a bed of lettuce, my vegan daughter had the vegan du mond (which was delicious and unusual) and my husband had the Reuben. My salad came with bread baked on site and the sandwiches came with tortilla chips with a side of humus or salsa.... More

A goofy guy took my order and brought out a slightly cold toasted sandwich. The hummus had three hairs in it and when I mentioned this to a owner he smirked. I am not impressed enough by the wonderful other smells there to waste my money on these jokers!!

Soup of the day surprising and delectable. Lots of vegetables and wonderful seasoning. Fresh bread every day. Great selection of sandwiches, salads, and desserts. Everything made daily. A year is a long time to wait for them to return.
