Three friends and I visited Silver City for the fiber art festival and several locals we met recommended Shevek for dinner. We arrived without a reservation (after canceling a reservation elsewhere) and there happened to be one available table. We were lucky as the place filled up during our 2-hour+ dinner. The wine list was spectacular and the wait staff... More

The menu is a surprise - extensive, creative and appetizing, it reflects Chef Shevek's experiences in the middle East and elsewhere. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and delicious. With only 2 of us, the tapas were a perfect way to sample lots of things. Amberwind suggested the right dishes and a great bottle of wine. I'm gluten sensitive and... More

It's so nice to go to a place that's dependably good, that does unusual food combinations, that has a flair for being distinctive without being condescending. The owners are so helpful, with those extra tidbits of info that make your choices work for you. There's an excellent wine list, with wine being served in the correct glass and at the... More

This little place is a gem! The service was fabulous, the food was so tasty, the selections were too many good things! Tapas style servings make it easier to try more items, so bring lots of friends! Extensive wine and beer list too!

Great service and food. Tapas were the right size that we could enjoy several. The gazpacho soup was especially good as was the chocolate cake. Very nice selection of beer and wine. Can't say enough good things about our waiter! Nice touch that the owner came by our table to make sure everything was ok.

We had a small dinner of tapas. The food was very good, but, as they are tapas dishes, the food is served in very small portions. By the time you are full it had become quite expensive. The service is my main complaint. It was good, if a little over-hyped, up to the time that we got the bill, at... More

Gourmet dining in Silver City? Yep! We had a delicious dinner at Shevek & Co. They take themselves a *little* seriously in an otherwise laid back New Mexico town (over-accentuated French pronunciations, for instance) but they have an impressive menu, an extensive wine list, and very good service. Would definitely go back again.

We chose four small plates and were highly impressed with both the presentation and the flavors of every one. They had a good wine list with many inexpensive but tasty choices. The Orange and Coriander Duck and the Venison Escallops were simply delicious and perfectly cooked.
