The food is good. I will give it that. The bill can get out of control quickly. If you like service that is intrusive and judging--say you order a wine that your server does not approve of. I did not get the impression that the waiter gave a hoot about me. He seemed intent on performing to an anonymous audience.

Four of us came based on good reviews but not expecting world class quality in Silver City, NM. Both food and service were wonderful in spite of it being a busy Saturday night. This would be a competitive restaurant in Chicago or New York. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

I'm all for the slow food movement. When you can't hear your partner across the table and the time between servings seem endless, not fun. I think my food was tasty tonight but between the New Yorkers at the table behind us and the Los Angelenos next us, my appetite was ruined. Hearing virtually every bit of the conversations of... From the start when we walked in the door we were amazed at the service and then the food. even the wine and beer lists are amazing. I selected a Belgium beer which is hard to find anywhere. The food was fantastic and very eclectic. You will probably need a reservation or early arrival to get a table since they... More

Sunday night, town sort of quiet. Had no idea what to expect when we walked in. Someone said the place was short of server staff and also breaking in a new busboy. After a bit of a wait, we were seated and spent the next 2 hours reveling in a delightful presentation of soups, tapas and deserts. If you're in... More

This tapas restaurant has an extensive menu - food as well as wine and beer. The concept of small plates should be everywhere and gives the customer to sample a variety of dishes. Chef Shevek's chicken with blood oranges was the favorite at our table, but everything was good. I ordered the scallops and clams which was mostly pasta. I... More

Every time I dine I am dazzled! Chef combines flavors in such a way that they just dance on the tongue! The last group of friends I shared the experience with wanted to eat every meal there. We are blessed to have such amazing cuisine in our town - especially since the menu changes 4 times a year. A new... More

The food served here sounds good when described and sometimes it is but too often, the dishes are not as good as the description. The service is even more uneven. The most consistent part of dining here is the price, which is consistently high.

Thank you for your review, though I wish you would be more specific so I can change the problems. What about the service and/or the specific server is the problem? I try no to use superlatives on the menu--though a couple do exist--but usually give origin and ingredients so as to not mislead. As I've answered other negative reviews, if... More

We were directed to this restaurant by one of the locals. It was a pleasant surprise to find such good food served in a small town on Sunday night. This is a tapas restaurant. I would not suggest it for young children, first because they don't serve chicken fingers, and second you will probably ruin the experience for those that... More

The menu had only tapas. Each item was priced separately. When offered desserts not listed on the menu, we each ordered a slice of cake. The check came and we were charged $8.50 for EACH slice of cake! This place is not very good and Way Overpriced! I won't be back.

This reviewer had sent us an email the day before this review was posted and the following was our answer: We're sorry you felt you were fooled by our menu. The front page of the menu has been the famed for many years and talks exclusively about ice cream desserts. We also have some desserts that are wine based on... More
