I sometimes stop at Shevek's for a glass of wine at the end of the week; the wine offerings are the best for 100 miles around. Tonight, chef offered a seasonal soup in the bar menu: Chilled blueberry/merlot in a light cream base. Hmmm. Piqued my curiosity. I ordered a small bowl. OMG. Let me assure you I am not... More

This restaurant serves small plates (some smaller than others!) The atmosphere is very nice, and the service was excellent, even tho' the waiter had to manage all the tables himself. There's a very nice wine list, and a wide choice of dishes. The pate of the day was fabulous, and a generous portion. But some of the other dishes (for... More

Whenever I return from traveling tjis is the first place I go to eat. I've rately found a place with such great food, a wine list that compliments each dish superbly and as knowledgeable a wait staff. The atmosphere encourages on to linger and enjoy every moment with your dining companions. Don't miss this place. Tje chef is a real... More

Perhaps the best endorsement I can give is that my wife and I dined at Shevek & Co. both evenings that we were in Silver City. We enjoyed our 1st evening dinner and experience so much that we decided to go back for a 2nd dinner. First of all, the service and wine recommendations were fabulous on both evenings! Each... More

The owners of this restaurant truly strive for EXCELLENCE in every way, and attempt to present themselves as 'trendy' French entrepreneurs [which is a bit over the top considering you don't encounter such snobbery even in France], as they condescendingly describe their specialty dinner 'tapas' offerings in French. If you forgot the French you learned in high school, too bad... More

Ate with a relative on a weekend and enjoyed conversation with an adjoining table. Great atmosphere and enjoyable customers. Spent a total of 3 hours there, of which I spent 10 mins actually with food. There were about 6 other tables with one horrible server. Although knowledgable and well spoken, he didn't tend to our table nor did he provide... More

I hope whoever reads this response will do so until the end. I will remain respectful, but this will be the first time in a response to a bad review that I will not be asking someone to return to our restaurant and promising a better experience than their first. Lets start with your splitting of the bill. Our menu... More

This is not your typical small town brunch. Unique food combinations lead to an enjoyable and explosive taste experience. The "Iced Chai Tea" is a must.

Recently moved to Silver City from Los Angeles, CA. Food was excellent with many layers of favors and would stand with any five star restaurant in L.A. Service was outstanding and waiter explained choices very well. How he recalled all of the daily specials, new items and desserts is amazing. We also met several friendly new faces who we chatted... New Brunch offerings at Shevek & Co. really raise the bar for delicious, healthy ways to start the day. The menu is different and enticing; the food is prepared to order and is oh-so-yummy; service is great and the coffee is the best the town. This is a wonderful start to the day. We will be back.

We drove down to Silver City from Denver to check out the SW part of NM. Shevek's was a delicious surprise. It was a wonderful dining experience that would be at home in LoDo (in Denver). Everything was excellent. The wine, the food, the waiter, the atmosphere. The waiter was witty and fun. We ordered several outstanding Tapas items each... More
