The Curious Kumquat is one of the main reasons we love to visit Silver City. We always get the tasting menu and it is always fabulous. Chef Rob Connoley is creative and surprising (not to mention delicious) in his use of foraged and local ingredients. We were there in January so some of the ingredients had been foraged earlier in... Everything okay, nothing fantastic. The food was different, not exceptional. Had a gluten free pizza that was fair. It was not even close to the gluten free pizza I had in Tucson which was exceptionally delicious.

I like to see what other restaurants reviewers like to give me perspective on their comment. It seems that we're not your style of restaurant. I am sorry that you didn't enjoy your lunch and hope that if you return we can do better. More

Last evening we dined at the Curious Kumquat. Flavors were mouth-wateringly good. Ingredients for many courses were foraged from sites in the Gila Wilderness. Portions were small and that was perfect for a six-course meal. Rob Connoley is a super chef and comes out to check on his guests as they dine.We will again enjoy one of his fabulous dinners... Enjoyed a wonderful lunch from the interior bay window. Haven't found a comparable fish taco since. Menu a bit pricey but the delight of meal was well worth it. We'll be back!

My wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch today in Silver City. Curious Kumquat is a good find with outdoor seating, dog friendly, and friendly staff. The only downside was that we arrived around 1:30 pm. So, naturally the item that caught our eye, the Elk burgers, we're all gone. So was the signature soup. No worry, there are enough... More

Yeah, the past two days were nuts! So many tourists in town. All of our fellow downtown business owners are saying this is the busiest weekend we've had in maybe 5 years! So, I am sorry we ran out of so many things - especially that burger, but I'm glad you enjoyed what we still had. More

Four of us went for lunch on a Tuesday. The restaurant was extremely cold inside. No heat? They put a oil heater next to our table that did not work. Only one wait person for the entire restaurant. Loooong wait for everything. They have storage places everywhere that is open to view of diners. They have one restroom only and... More

Wait. You drove 4 hours round-trip to have one of my $7 sandwiches. Thanks. I'm honored! I wouldn't drive 4 hours for a sandwich no matter how good it might be :) I do appreciate the feedback on our old building, and as you read our previous reviews, that is the kicker. When you pop-in for one lunch you don't... More

We've eaten a lot of restaurant food, and CK ranks near the top of my list. The TA reviews drew us in. The tasting menu is worth every penny. For mains we had the lamb chop, served on whipped potato with baby greens and green apple jelly; and Thai duck breast with rice and salad. All the other courses were... More

called ahead for a reservation after reding the many great review for this restaurant. we reserved the duck confit and the lamb chops... the atmosphere is laid back, we were dressed as comfy tourists and the couple next to us were decked out, and both fit comfortability in this quaint eatery... the food was fantastic, and the service matched the... Ha! Yes, I did sell my foster son's birthday cake! I can't make just one small cake, so I made a big one for the restaurant too. All he wanted was chocolate, so a 7 layer chocolate cake it was. And what you mentioned about dress is one of the great things about our town - on any given night,... More
