Consistently one of the best Dining Experiences in the Southwest

My girlfriend and I love traveling about the southwest and trying the local restaurants. We have dined in the top joints of Phoenix (where we live now), Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Tucson, Scottsdale, Sedona, Flagstaff and everywhere in between. So it may come as a surprise that one of our favorite... read more

My girlfriend and I love traveling about the southwest and trying the local restaurants. We have dined in the top joints of Phoenix (where we live now), Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Tucson, Scottsdale, Sedona, Flagstaff and everywhere in between. So it may come as a surprise that one of our favorite restaurants anywhere is in tiny Silver City: the amazing Curious... More

Thanks guys - you really are nuts for driving all that way for dinner, but I sure appreciate it. And thanks so much for capturing the difference between our lunches and dinners. They (not often, but from time to time) get bashed in reviews, and often times I feel like its because the dinner expectations are too much for lunch... More

Staff was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Setting is colorful and comfortable. Fish tacos (staff fav) were good, but it really needed a two tortilla wrap because the tortilla fell apart due to the slaw juices. Tasty, but messy. The black bean/corn burger had a nice crunch, but was too thick and disappointingly bland. For us, CK did not... More

I'm sorry for your experience. We hadn't heard of any issues that day and I'm guessing you didn't mention anything to your server or they would have alerted me in the kitchen so I could address the problem. Immediate feedback is always appreciated so we can respond and improve your and other customers' experience. It has been a particularly busy... More

This is a great lovely little dining establishment. They have been in business for around 10 years (no easy feat). Food is very good. Very nice wait staff.

This place was highly recommended and friends and I went for lunch as it was booked up all weekend for dinner. Lovely setting outside on a nice day but the food ranged from inedible to mediocre. Bummer. Wish I could have made a better report.

Sorry you didn't have a good experience. As you can see from our reviews, that is not the norm. I'm assuming you shared your concerns with the servers in which case we've already addressed the matter, if not please let us know specifically what the concerns were so we can improve. Thanks. More

This city is intriguing and it has four or five restaurants carrying the burden of making the city a worthy visit. Now we love food and, for comparison, I cannot tell you that I have found 4-5 restaurants in Yuma at 70k population that would come close to the quality here in Silver City. You consider the size of this... More

Thanks for the review. While we're proud of our lunches, they are intended to get the local workforce in and out with a fresh meal at a reasonable price. Our reputation is definitely more for our dinners which focus on the foraged ingredients and items from my greenhouse. That said, I love our fish tacos and am glad you ordered... More

Nice welcoming atmosphere with very friendly staff. Extraordinary and very tasty food. Beautiful, benign presentation of the location with nice details. Very good situated between downtown, Bullard Street, and Gough Park.

We read reviews of this place and decided to try it for a late lunch. The duck confit salad was something you'd expect to find in a San Francisco restaurant - beautifully garnished with fresh raspberries, goat cheese and fresh field greens. The duck was a tad salty but the fruit balanced it out. My husband had the elk burger,... More

Extremely creative cuisine - fairly priced for the quality. The ambiance is also very nice. A very romantic dinner location.

Chef Rob is a genius when it comes to creating unique and amazing dishes. He uses a lot of "forged" ingredients and everything is so fresh. We are never disappointed when we eat at his restaurant. We are so lucky to have him in our beautiful town. Highly recommend!

I selected Curious Kumquat after seeing it rated #1 for Silver City on Trip Advisor. This was my 1st visit to Silver City and was very surprised to find this quality of restaurant. Chef Rob Connoley & his staff are awesome. We both selected the Chef's Tasting Dinner which we paired with a Chime 2013 Pinot Noir. Our dinners were... More
