My wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch today in Silver City. Curious Kumquat is a good find with outdoor seating, dog friendly, and friendly staff. The only downside was that we arrived around 1:30 pm. So, naturally the item that caught our eye, the Elk burgers, we're all gone. So was the signature soup. No worry, there are enough... More

Yeah, the past two days were nuts! So many tourists in town. All of our fellow downtown business owners are saying this is the busiest weekend we've had in maybe 5 years! So, I am sorry we ran out of so many things - especially that burger, but I'm glad you enjoyed what we still had. More

Four of us went for lunch on a Tuesday. The restaurant was extremely cold inside. No heat? They put a oil heater next to our table that did not work. Only one wait person for the entire restaurant. Loooong wait for everything. They have storage places everywhere that is open to view of diners. They have one restroom only and... More

Wait. You drove 4 hours round-trip to have one of my $7 sandwiches. Thanks. I'm honored! I wouldn't drive 4 hours for a sandwich no matter how good it might be :) I do appreciate the feedback on our old building, and as you read our previous reviews, that is the kicker. When you pop-in for one lunch you don't... More

We've eaten a lot of restaurant food, and CK ranks near the top of my list. The TA reviews drew us in. The tasting menu is worth every penny. For mains we had the lamb chop, served on whipped potato with baby greens and green apple jelly; and Thai duck breast with rice and salad. All the other courses were... More

called ahead for a reservation after reding the many great review for this restaurant. we reserved the duck confit and the lamb chops... the atmosphere is laid back, we were dressed as comfy tourists and the couple next to us were decked out, and both fit comfortability in this quaint eatery... the food was fantastic, and the service matched the... Ha! Yes, I did sell my foster son's birthday cake! I can't make just one small cake, so I made a big one for the restaurant too. All he wanted was chocolate, so a 7 layer chocolate cake it was. And what you mentioned about dress is one of the great things about our town - on any given night,... More

Heard many recommendations for this restaurant during a stay in Silver City. The location is excellent and the decor is funky/sweet, with friendly staff. The menu is extensive and creative, however, there were not many choices for anyone choosing to avoid meat. I had the "famous" burrito, with beans and vegetables, which, even with their hottest salsa choice, was rather... More

I am sorry that we didn't have enough options for you. On the lunch menu that you are describing we have 8 out of our 17 items (47%) that are vegetarian, and 2 of the remaining 9 can be made vegetarian. I do think that is a fair amount for any menu. Likewise, our dinner menu - every course is... More

The place could use a little mixup, but the food is outstanding. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch as all evenings were booked during our visit. Love the mole Oaxocan sandwich.

The "kumquat" as I and many others call it is just the best. I recently had my birthday dinner there with a few other people and as always it was fantastic. My mouth waters thinking about the Thai duck. Seriously. I had the Duck Confit over a salad and it was the first time I have ever tried that. I... More

We were in town visiting relatives and had the tasting dinner as a birthday celebration. Each course was a creative tour de force using highly unusual ingredients. The beer and wine list is substantial for a restaurant this size. Service was excellent. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Silver City.
