Ate dinner here our first evening in Silver City. I was really pleased to have two vegetarian choices. I choose the Sage cream eggplant with leek french fries, buttermilk panna cotta, and apricot sauce. It was amazing! My husband had the Korean Duck. The atmosphere was lovely, and the menu included wine parings, but we had beer instead. For a... More

I think I could have easily gone with 6 stars on this restaurant. My wife and I had the six course local and foraged special. It was one of the best 5 meals we have ever had. The cattail salad, pea panna cotta and acorn croquette were firsts for us and delicious. The entrees of Korean Duck and Prickly Pear... More

My son made the suggestion to eat here on my visit to Silver City. I had the gluten free pizza and for dessert their key lime pie. Perfect for outdoor dining and the view of downtown. Our waiter was friendly and helpful with the menu. My son ordered the veggie burger and that was Amazing! Two thumbs up!

Its nice to see some loving for our staff and lunch. Dinner certainly overshadows those things, but we put just as much love into our sandwiches, and I've got a great staff right now that really cares about our food and truly likes people. In this business that's a rare combination. So thank you for sharing your review. ~Rob More

When we planned our Silver City two day getaway, we included the Curious Kumquat because I had read about the restaurant in New Mexico Magazine and Sunset Magazine. Chef Rob did not disappoint! We chose the Chef's tasting menu. We highly recommend this because this selection represents Chef Rob's passion! Each course was thoroughly explained by our wonderful waitress and... More

Emailed Chef Rob concerning son's food allergies; he came through with flying colors, a pizza like he'd never had before, and an amazing dessert. Chocolate, cake, meringue (made from chick peas, I kid you not) something else wonderful and vanilla and creamy. He said he wanted to introduce us to new flavors. Did he ever! Also keep your eyes open... More

We were totally blown away by the food, the service, the presentation. We have never tasted anything like this, his combination of ingredients, texture, flavors was outstanding. Chef Rob's tasting dinner is not to be missed. We can't wait to go back again. Kudos to Sonia, our wonderful wait staff. She is knowledgable, informative and a wonderful asset to Chef... More

In caps, yes ! Why do we travel? For local culture, sights, cuisine, a sense of place. Chef Rob epitomizes the best of creating unique dishes from not only local ingredients but personally foraged from the surrounding area. He's mixed his love of the outdoors, botany, and food to bring one of a kind flavors to the table. He also... More

We enjoyed lunch here our first day. It was our best food experience in four days in Silver City. The owner chef is a James Beard 2014 Semifinalist. The atmosphere is simple, cosy, welcoming. We both ordered Gyros, flavor packed house-made gyro meat on huge soft pitas with cream sauce, organic greens, tomatoes, feta and guacamole - satisfying and filling.... More

Thanks for the kind words. We recently had a negative review about the gyros and the gist was that many people prefer the factory made gyro meat. But a few months ago, since we already used local 4H youth lambs, we decided to start seasoning and grinding our own meat. Its 100% lamb (no beef cut in), but our local... More

We are from Los Angeles, on a two week camping trip in southwestern New Mexico. We never expected to find such a treasure of a restaurant in a small town in the mountains. The "little house" restaurant is inviting and the outside eating area would be enjoyable on a nice day (very cool and windy during our visit) We enjoyed... More
