I thought I wouldn't get full being a rather big eater. My wife and I shared a meal and had to take left overs.

Something different done with a bit of flair. I had a bowl of lamb soup, for example, followed by a pulled pork burrito, choices you wouldn't normally be offered in a typical New Mexican restaurant. Cheerful upbeat staff serve you courteously and professionally while you are surrounded by a nice artsy decor in an intimate setting. The lunch menu is... More

This is an astonishing little place that was certainly the highlight of our visit to Silver City. Chef Rob is an absolute craftsman, conjuring amazing depth of flavour out of unusual, foraged and responsibly sourced ingredients from acorn flour to boxthorn, and there’s magic in the presentation too, without giving too much away. It would be a crime not to... More

This is one of my favorite places in town to eat. I'm gluten free so I know I can get something tasty to eat here. The wait staff is educated on gluten free also. Dinner here is like no where else. All this and reasonably priced.

Fresh and innovative recipes with an emphasis on local and seasonal fare, without being pretentious. Worth a visit (and lunch prices are very reasonable).

Thank you for the kind words. BTW, a dear friend lives in Salida and she's a realtor (Paula Bradfield). I mention that because her son was our very first server at the restaurant! More

The Curious Kumquat was one of the best restaurants in New Mexico when it opened and since then has gotten better every year. I do not know of any restaurant in the United States that serves food as innovative and as delicious as the Curious Kumquat. The restaurant was one of the first to emphasize the use of foraged ingredients... More

Truly a unique dining experience. The young lady who waited on us was a real pro. The food was very interesting and delicious and perfectly explained by our waitperson. The entrée was cooked perfectly. I had oxtail and my wife had the duck. We were both delighted. I had the wine paring and every selection fit well. We were there... More
