We enjoyed lunch here our first day. It was our best food experience in four days in Silver City. The owner chef is a James Beard 2014 Semifinalist. The atmosphere is simple, cosy, welcoming. We both ordered Gyros, flavor packed house-made gyro meat on huge soft pitas with cream sauce, organic greens, tomatoes, feta and guacamole - satisfying and filling.... More

Thanks for the kind words. We recently had a negative review about the gyros and the gist was that many people prefer the factory made gyro meat. But a few months ago, since we already used local 4H youth lambs, we decided to start seasoning and grinding our own meat. Its 100% lamb (no beef cut in), but our local... More

We are from Los Angeles, on a two week camping trip in southwestern New Mexico. We never expected to find such a treasure of a restaurant in a small town in the mountains. The "little house" restaurant is inviting and the outside eating area would be enjoyable on a nice day (very cool and windy during our visit) We enjoyed... More

Ordered the Pesto Pizza. It looked great. The crust looked strange like a corn meal crust or even grahm cracker. Took a couple of bites, and almost gagged on its richness. This is a chef who can take a wonderful idea and turn it into something inedible. I brought the

The way to experience this tiny (seats 13 people total - do make reservations) restaurant is to select the tasting menu. The menu varies all the time but it consists of small dishes selected and prepared by the chef, who is the only one in the kitchen and comes out when he serves dessert. Our first course was a cat... We decided to wander up the road to Silver City and stopped for lunch at this lovely little spot. We had our 4-legged fur family member with us so sat out on the patio. The location was easy to find and it gets only better from there. Our server, Natalie, brought a treat for our dog as she came to... More

Four of us dined with two getting the tasting menu. Everything was very tasty, the presentation was wonderful and the plates beautiful. Lovely dining in Silver City, New Mexico.

Although the CK was open for another two hours for lunch, they had only 3 items left on the menu. We were apprised of that fact when we arrived. The waitstaff was friendly, but very slow. The rooms were so cold that we kept our jackets on. The place just lacks warmth and not only in room temperature. The setting... More

I'm sorry that even though the service was friendly and the food was good our decorations led to a 3 star review. My goal has never to give customers an Applebees decorated space, but rather to give you a lunch at around $8 where everything is made from scratch and using mostly locally-raised and grown ingredients. For a few more... More

Had the chance to stop in here finally after reading reviews and hearing about it locally and was happy to have made it. Again, I tend to rate places based on their location so for Silver City, NM this is definitely a gem. We had the Oaxacan and Farmer Brown chicken sandwiches and I tried the rabbit chili. Both sandwiches... More

We usually make a special trip to come here. The food is really good, especially the gyro. Every time I have gotten something else, I wish that I had ordered that. The gluten free pizza is pretty awesome too. They have outdoor seating which is perfect for the location.

Thanks for the feedback. We're in the midst of throngs of spring break travelers and we're doing our best. I'll give my staff more sugar and remind them to pick it up. :) More
