Good food, great staff

Wanna step your feet in the sand after long day of working ? This place is totally it. As a lightweight I always get pina colada which reminds me of the time I was in Puerto Rico. The foods are good, not great but definitely the place to hang with friends.

I love this place. Great music, food and service. Love going there in winter time because as soon as you walk in you feel in summer again with the music, sand and decoration.

The combination of surf imagery and the underground/indie vibe drew me in and the friendly staff kept me there. Was surprised that the floor was covered in sand to add to the beach feel. Bring flip flops and you'll fit right in, but my boots did the job too. Prices were competitive. Piped in music was good. Plenty of reggae,... More

Came here for a drink with my wife at the weekend. When I used to live in the neighborhood I always walked by but never went in. It was hot outside and I wanted a beer and my wife wanted a tropical drink. Pretty cool inside the floors are all sandy which confused be a little when I first walked... More

Went In with a group of friends and had a bad experience at this place. Started when we waited a really long time to even be noticed. And then when I asked the waitress a question about the menu, she just kind of insulted me, really made me feel uncomfortable. A plus- food was good. So I guess that of... More

I've been there a few times. I've never been impressed. It always smells like fried fish and shrimp. My latest visit was quite problematic. They didn't have the first 3 beer choices I requested. I was there for those specific beers. I ordered a caipirinha that took 15 minutes to be served. It was also the worst caipirinha I've ever... More

You have to look hard to find this place but it is worth it. The floor is beach sand so immediately you are taken away from the normal NYC bar. The outdoor area in the back creates a unique atmosphere. The drinks are outstanding and the staff very attentive. A nice place to spend an afternoon.

Kitchy "surfer's" bar with sand on floor (really?). Mixed drinks are great for hot summer's day. Didn't try any food but the outside lounge in back was delightful. Come in for a few theme drinks and you can't lose.

My friend and I came to this low key surfer bar/restaurant in hopes of a quick meal prior to an event we were attending nearby. Sadly, though the bar is eclectic and fun (I mean actual sand covering the floors?!) our service was very sub-par and we ended up having to rush out without finishing our meal. Seated in the... This bar was a nice break from the hot pavement bc of its very shaded outdoor seating area. The entire bar is filled with sand like you would find at a tiki bar. The cocktails we had were delicious and refreshing. I would definitely go here again especially one a hot summer day.
