The shaded outdoor seating was a live saver from the heat

This bar was a nice break from the hot pavement bc of its very shaded outdoor seating area. The entire bar is filled with sand like you would find at a tiki bar. The cocktails we had were delicious and refreshing. I would definitely go here again especially one a hot summer day.

My friend and I came to this low key surfer bar/restaurant in hopes of a quick meal prior to an event we were attending nearby. Sadly, though the bar is eclectic and fun (I mean actual sand covering the floors?!) our service was very sub-par and we ended up having to rush out without finishing our meal. Seated in the... We went here with another couple to just have drinks and sat in the garden/patio area. There is a great atmosphere and you feel like you're in the Caribbean when you step through the door. They have sand, yes - sand, on the floor and misc. surf items on the walls. The music is suited for the style and the... More

Me and the girlfriend were on our last day in NYC and decided to hop on the subway to experience a bit less hustle and bustle. We were looking for somewhere quiet for a drink around lunchtime and the neon light down the street "BEER". Location : essentially this area is hipster Central,,we loved it. The area is surrounded by... More

There is sand on the floor. I got several margaritas that were delicious. The tacos were fresh and good too. They have a great selection of margaritas and beach-y drinks, so come prepared! Fun place to go on a Friday or Saturday night. I would go again.

Went in the other night with some friends for a quick couple of beers and something to eat. Not from the area, went there on the advice of a Brooklyn local because we are surfers, and he figured we would like it. Long story short, it wasn't a good experience, was expensive, and I definitely wouldn't go back. Beer selection... More

This is a great spot with the beach, ocean and surfers atmosphere. The floor is covered with the sand and the ceiling is decorates with a bunch of surfboards. The best Margarita is served there.

The last time I was in Brooklyn, I stumbled upon the Surf Bar in Williamsburg. They're waxin' down their surf boards and I am waxing lyrical about the great staff, the great bartenders and the great value for a spot with authentic surf culture feel. Right down to the sand between your toes. Yes. Like butchers of yore had sawdust... More

Went here because of the reviews we read and also the videos on their website. We went for lunch during the week and were the only people there, which worried us from the start. They are supposed to be famous for their lobster roll - it was one of the worst We'd ever had! the burger was just ok. The... More

I found the whole place being a bit too cool for school. Yeah it's nice to feel at the beach and have your feet in the sand but the atmosphere just didn't do it for me. Only had one drink and left.
