A mixed review

This was our second time here and I personally did not like the food at all, but my husband loved it, both times, so I am balancing the score out and giving it 4 stars. We ordered the pork ribs, brisket, sweet/spicy wings, bbq beans and cole slaw (I know, we overdid it), and the reason I wasn't... read more

We are from Louisiana and we know good BBQ. This place is good! We went there on July 4th and had a short wait. We ordered the ribs, smoked chicken and wings. They were all good. The service was good and we liked the atmosphere. We will go back soon.

The food was ok although there seem to be some cleanliness issues. Crumbs and debris under and on the table where I was seated. Totally unacceptable. There was nothing earth shattering about the food - it was perfectly serviceable BBQ in a city full of BBQ joints. Not the best I've had. I wouldn't go out of you ur way... More

Excellent smoked chicken, pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Tried to eat here twice before and always a wait , but Went for lunch time and only about 10min wait . Well worth the wait and the money . Home made baked beans are excellent ,along with everything else and right around $10.00.

I learned about the restaurant from Food Network's Diner's Drive In and Dives! Decided I would visit the next time I was in Brooklyn. Came in with the family for lunch. We were a party of 7. Didn't have to wait long to be seated. I ordered the fried shrimp as an appetizer with a barbecue aioli. It was Delish!... More

Stopped here after the coffee and tea expo. Delicious food. Had the pulled chicken sandwich and my wife has the joint dog with pulled pork. Both were delicious. Worth the stop.

Right proper good brisket here, y'all. I like. You could use some work on your sides dishes, though. But overall, when I want a brisket sandwich, this place is pretty dang good. Decent sauce, too.

Everyone raves about Dinosaur BBQ, but The Smoke Joint definitely one (or two) ups it! Order the pulled pork sandwich and mac and cheese, especially on a cold day.
