This place is small and quaint, but has exceptional flavor in its meat. I had the pulled pork which was excellent without any BBQ sauce added. My son had the brisket and it was wonderfully tender and flavorful as well. The seasoned French fries were very tasty. Loved the seasoning on them! The wait staff was prompt and pleasant. I... More

We came here before going to the Barclays center to watch the Brooklyn Nets. Well the place is superb overlooking the triangle square. Staff are very friendly. The most important thing is the food and WOW it is outstanding especially the barbecue beans. Price is very reasonable will def be back before going back to the UK. Thanks to the... More

The Smoke Joint is a small, neighborhood restaurant that has a nice atmosphere. We entered and were warmly greeted by the cooks at the counter. The dining area is small and intimate. We had the beef ribs were which outstanding. Very tender and flavorful. 5 Stars. We also had the pulled pork which was generally tender but lacked the flavor... More

Went to Brooklyn for a foodie trip with a couple of friends. We stopped at the Smoke Joint because of the Diners, Drive-In's and Dives show and went specifically for the beef rib. Whenever I go to a BBQ place, I always go for pork. The beef rib was smokey, tender and flavorful. They also had a decent selection of... More

We drove from PA to Brooklyn just to try this place after seeing it on the food network. I don't think it was worth the trip. The smoking technique was good and the beef short rib was very tender but lacked any sort of seasoning...I don't think there was even salt or pepper. The wings were not bad. Baked beans...eh.... My wife is a fan of the Diners, Drive-In's and Dives programme on TV so we thought it might be a bit of fun to go to one of the places around New York that had been visited by that programme. We chose the Smoke Joint as we liked the look of their menu. The restaurant was about a 30... More

I'd be happy with a slew of sides at Smoke Joint. The potato salad is a winner, so is the cornbread, and mac & cheese, and baked beans... But their slow cooked meats are out-of-this-world delicious, too! And don't forget to wash it all down with a "kinda sweet" tea.

Food was great. BBQ chicken sandwich, wings, and fries all were great. Cornbread was even better. Service was iffy, waited forever for check. Only downside was lukewarm beer!

I went here during my last trip to Brooklyn, I have to say it was a wasted meal. The BBQ didn't taste that authentic and the overall atmosphere of the place while well located was too compact. Granted, this is in NYC and one shouldn't expect much in the way of authentic BBQ but if one is looking for some... More
