As a pizza enthusiast, I decided to wrap up some pizzerias I haven't been to in my home borough. I looked up Lucali and ordered a pie through the phone. The wait time was 30 minutes (no problem). The girl at the other end of the line was very pleasant and helpful. Upon picking up my pie, I was greeted... More

Great pizza with fresh ingredients. Restaurant is warm and charming. Be sure to get there before 6 pm to stand in line for the tables, otherwise you may have to wait for an hour. Bring your bottle of wine, there is no charge for uncorking.

This place is so full of character and charm its unreal! The staff are super friendly and helpful. 2 choices; pizza and calzone. Not that you need anything else. The pizza is classic and simple, everything fresh and yummy! A few toppings is all you need. This is definitely no frills but it's by far the best pizza I've ever... More

I can honestly say this is the best pizza I've ever had, and I've had a lot of pizza!! I'm in New York with my girlfriend as I'm running the New York marathon tomorrow. We researched some good restaurants to visit and came across the best 25 pizza places on Time Out! This one was number 1 and only 1.3... More

Came here with family on a Sunday at 5:30. They open at 6 and at 6:02, the restaurant was full and busy. We had a toddler with us (they have no high chairs!) but took our order very quickly so help us eat quickly. The pizza was ready in less than 10 min and the gushy calzone was ready 5... More

A good pie in Brooklyn, should definitely try it. A little downside is that it is a small place, we had to wait for one hour to get a place to sit, but I guess that gives it the charm it has! A must in Brooklyn definitely. Will visit again!

Long Wait and No Reservations so make sure you're there by 5:45-6pm as they are only open 6-11p and closed on Tuesdays. Love the pizzas but the calzone is my favorite! Get the large calzone if you are more than two...also, BYOB or BYOW. Enjoy!

Lucali focuses on what it does best: basic pizza and basic calzone; no parmigiana heroes, baked ziti, caesar salads or rice balls. If you've got wheat allergies, you're definitely in the wrong place. Also, if you can't tolerate potentially long waits for a table, walk around the corner to House of Pizza on Union Street. Or, better yet, grab a... More

Suddenly the restaurant became filled with people.. No menus, but the waitress was kind and helpful. Only meat... More
