Great Pizza in a Lovely Spot!

We got to Lucali a couple minutes after it opened at 6:00 pm, but did not get our table until 9:30 ... which of course is a very long wait. I will say we thought it was worth the wait. We had heard so many great things about the pizza we really wanted to try it. We brought our own... read more

Wanted to try this restaurant after reading good things about it and seeing that David Beckham tried it. Arrived around 5:30 pm on a Saturday since I knew they don't accept reservations and was hoping to get our name on the list for a 6 pm seating. Sure enough, we got the last table. There didn't seem to be a... More

I have been living in Brooklyn for some time now and I haven't yet been able to enjoy pizza yet from Lucali's. I have been refused Pizza. Not sure what is so great about this restaurant. So far now I will keep my distance.

We had been wanting to try Lucali for several months and finally made a decision on a Tuesday evening to head to Brooklyn. We arrived at the restaurant around 5:30 PM and our name was put on the list for the first seating (we then found out we could arrive as early as 5PM, put our name on the list,... More

The pizza is fantastic Sicilian or regular. Probably the best pizza yet. But on the downside the ac was not working or on, I almost walked past this place and they would've lost my review, but I will return and even if I have to endure the store's tropical climate so be it the pizza is way above average.

This little spot is so well known that you often have to wait in long lines to get. The pizza is very thin and expensive ($close to $30/per pizza). For 6 people, we had 3 large pies: cheese, pepperoni and artichoke heart). We probably had 1/2 of a pie total to take home. Also ordered a cheese calzone which was... More

My son and I visited Lucali - third stop on our "best pizza of NYC" tour - based on its consistently top or near-top of the charts rating. After an hour and a half drive, and 80 minute wait, we were ready ... and it didn't disappoint. The crust is quite unique -- very light, with crisp, charred edges, and... More

Keep it simple. This place does it and that's what makes it great. Sometimes you have to stand in line for a long time to get in. Once inside, the menu is limited to pizza with about 5 choices of toppings and calzones. That's it. If you want wine, you have to bring your own. There's no corking fee. They... More
