Amazing Venue

Like an amazing British beer garden, but indoors. Long benches where a huge group could go for a stag/hen party, cool hipsters rubbing shoulders with groups of young mums and their buggies. A proper buzz to the place, and food and beer in easy supply. Definitely a fun visit.

The Radegast Biergarten is off the beaten path but well worth the trip. They have a good variety of German beers on tap as well as in bottles. We ate from the lunch menu which had a variety of sausages with sauerkraut. I had Kielbasa and my wife had Weisswurst. Both were very good. If you like German beer and... More

Seat yourself kind of place. Live music; open and airy; great selection of grilled sausages; great selection of traditional German food; excellent craft beer. Only con is it's very, very hard to find a table, especially with parties over 4 people.

Arrived shortly before 9pm to see the band that eve. Sat out back and had a sausage dinner. Amazing. Great choice and value. Courteous and quick service from the always available waitresses. Moved to the front of the venue to hear Lucky Chops (who regularly appear and are a must see). Danced. Drank. And generally was merry. Staff dodged the... More

Long communal tables do a great job accommodating large and small groups in this architecturally interesting beer hall. The european beer selection is wonderful, and the sausages from the grill are delicious; I loved the currywurst and weisswurst. The fries and sauerkraut (naturally) are the perfect sides. This is a great place to spend an afternoon catching up with your... More

Went with a large group and had a great time. Large open space with a good selection of beer. You expect a great pretzel and they have them.

Radegast is the quintessential Billyburg Biergarten--oversized, fun, and repurposed. This is a factory sized space with the most delicious, fresh baked pretzels and the awesomest sausage selection served with kraut and fries. Come with a group, this place can handle it.

I was visiting the neighborhood with friends. We all had to use the ladies room, despite the restaurant getting ready to open, they permitted us to use the restrooms. We had an appointment, but decided to go back there for brunch, since they were so nice. What a pleasant surprise. we had a great brunch. I had the butternut squash... More

Growing up from a German heritage in NYC, there were many German restaurants all over the city. Over the years, they seemed to disappear. We were spending time in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and decided we had to eat at Radegast. We ate lunch there and hopefully soon, we will return for dinner. I travel to Germany a lot and frequent the...
