We visited Fetta Sau while on holiday in New York... We didn't eat all day hoping for a delicious feast for dinner. Sadly when we arrived we were met by staff that weren't particularly friendly and didn't explain where the menu was or how to order (you order at the counter, various blackboards on the walls with the menu, order... Came here for my husband's birthday dinner. I did not realize it was family style, but by the time we sat down it didn't matter much since we had a few drinks during the 45 minute wait on line. While the menu online offers a variety of food choices, it turns out that you are subject to whatever they have... More

A bunch of us went here while visiting Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Unfortunately you can't book, have to wait in a queue (we waited around 20 minutes), and have to find a seat in the communal area. However, don't let that put you off. It's well worth the visit!!! The meats were amazing - Perfectly cooked and very tasty. You order... More

So this was our chill out day during our 6 manic days in NYC and the perfect antidote to mental manhattan! Instant relaxation, two drinks for my lady and I and we took our seats on the big bench and table setup. The smell of smoked BBQ was excellent and we sat, drank from our mason's jars and took it... I went to Fetter Sau after recommendations for several New Yorker's and I wasn't disappointed. I tried the pork shoulder, brisket and pulled-pork, all were perfectly seasoned and beautifully cooked. You buy by the pound here, don't make my mistake and be over-ambitious, it was heart-breaking to not be able to finish everything I'd ordered. My only criticism is that... More

The food was good. Lots of meat. Very flavorful. The veggies were ok but not spectacular. The beams were good.

There's a place this reminds me of in chicago called Smoque. Only BBQ, and nothing fancy. Here you buy it by the pound - brisket, pork ribs, pork belly were part of our sampling. All good, especially the brisket; however, the bbq beans with burnt ends were terrific. They have a number of beers on tap, which you order and... More

I went here with a group of friends for a mates new york stag night. We arrived and there was a pretty large queue which I think is always a good sign, it took around 20 mins for this to move down, so not to bad a wait really. We got to the serving point and all the meat was... More

Brilliant BBQ meat, fine spicy beans, good coleslaw, awful potato salad, excellent broccoli :-) The pork spare ribs are the best, the beef brisket superb, the music loud, the diners trendy and international. Will go again and try more of the meat. Great place.

I'd never tried traditional American BBQ but if this is what it's like, then I'm sold! Tasty, slow cooked meat - pork belly, beef brisket, ribs, pulled pork. Yum! We also got sides of baked beans which were absolutely delicious. Other sides weren't that exciting but the meat is really the star. The line was long when we arrived at... More
