Neighborhood gem!

We walked to one of the best Italian restaurants, bar none! Small, dark-lit joint with great ambience. The rucolo (arugula) and watercress salads were perfectly prepared! Before kale, there was arugula, lettuce, etc. Well, they do have a kale salad but that's to please the native hipsters. The... read more

This is a small neighborhood place--but very convenient to the subway. It's a veritable bargain for NYC and good food to boot. My son, who had lived nearby, recommended it--says he always had a good meal there. We were so glad we took him up on his recommendation. The octopus appetizer was especially good. I thought their house wine was... More

We were visiting Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn and went on suggestion of our host. Tiny place,we did not have a reservation(which I strongly encourage) but they accommodated us nevertheless on a crowded night. The homemade penne pasta was a rustic meal with a superb basil pesto. Some of best mussels I have had anywhere. Leave your credit cards at home,... More

My son took us to this restaurant recently and it was delicious. It's like your grandmothers house with seating in her back yard. Lots of umbrellas for shade. Service was great and food delicious. The calamari was grilled and tender and tasty. Mussels also a must. All pasta dishes were delectable. Nice inexpensive prices for Brooklyn. Would go there on... More

Great Friday evening meal with my wife... Very attentive service but maybe because we were there quite early, but still was very helpful and on the ball. The pasta was great and really outshines whatever was on it really, so stick to something simple and you're in for a great meal at a modest price. Kale salad was a pleasant... More

I have been to Il Passatore many times since they opened. I actually think they get better and better- the food is very good with special unique favors- especially nice on a cold night or in the summer for dinner in their backyard. I would highly recommend any of the pasta and appetizers especially the brussel sprouts, tortellini and ragu.... More

We took family here at friend's recommendation - very glad we went. This is a small restaurant with a cozy family atmosphere. We sat out back on the patio. There were 5 of us and we ordered a lot of different appetizers to share. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The pasta dishes were cooked perfectly and everyone left smiling and... More

We had pretty good service here. They take reservations and stick to them (we got there about 20 minutes early and weren't seated until our reservation time). We ate dinner outside, which was a lively Italian-lighted atmosphere. It's pretty casual as far as attire goes. When we were inside, I felt like the lights were almost turned completely down, and... Amazingly, got in with no wait at 9:30 on a Saturday evening without a reservation. Ate in the patio area out back, very nice atmosphere. Our party of five shared two bottles of wine, app's, and five entrees for under $150. The pasta dishes were fresh and perfectly al dente, sauces were very good - all in all, a terrific... More

I've had italian food at over NYC and travelled abroad to Italy for culiany experience. I would rank them 4 out of 5 for sure for its food, price and atmosphere. First of all, this is located in East Willimaburg, out of nowhere but great location to look for parking. I normally dont come to this part of the town... More
