Green eggs and lamb is delicious

this is our go to place when we visit Brooklyn. We usually go for Brunch. It is well worth the wait to eat here. My favorite is the Green eggs and Lamb but a close second is the Parmesan Toast. The creativity in this dish is outstanding. I love the Tahini Butter with toast. The drinks are also... read more

On a visit to Brooklyn in early March we waited patiently to get in for lunch. It was a Saturday and well-worth the long line and long wait. My party of four chose three items on the menu and all were worth a detour. I ate the lamb sandwich: Greek meatballs in tomato sauce on a baguette with toss salad... More

Our family had breakfast/brunch at the Olea while visiting in Brooklyn. This is a little bit out of the ordinary food which is what we prefer. The coffee was delicious. Very tasty Mimosa's and some other brunch cocktails. I don't know how to describe the food except to say it was unique and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was "cozy" and... More

I went with my daughter and son-in-law to this small, cozy, magnificent restaurant on Lafayette Avenue in Fort Green, Brooklyn. The service was impeccable, waiter(Jeff) so knowledgeable, and helpful in ordering. We had fried green olives and the Trio dip for starters. The olives were covered with a slight cracker meal ( I think ) and more like toasted than... More

Daughter took us to Olea in Brooklyn on Friday night -- we arrived at happy hour. Amazing small plate specials and wines for $5 a glass! Cocktail menu was good too -- the sangria and margaritas were outstanding. But the roasted meatballs in a nutty glaze with cranberries -- what a small plat packed with flavor. Then I had the... The brunch menu sounded exotic and the food that arrived at our table didn't disappoint. The Turkish breakfast was delicious, well prepared and presented. The atmosphere is very casual and wait staff very friendly.

I was there with 3 others on a Friday evening. They don't take reservations and we had a long wait. But the food was fantastic, with lots of vegetarian as well as meat dishes. Good cocktails too. Very lively happy scene. Nice wait staff.

A tasty and different brunch menu! I had the Turkish Breakfast....mmmm good! We got there early and didn't have to wait for a table. The service was excellent, the ambiance warm and inviting and the food was delectable!

A true gem. What a great find! Whoever put this together decided to simply marry an impeccably attentive unpretentious service and homey atmosphere with a creatively delicious and affordable rotating menu. My brunch was a magical moment that well exceeded my already high expectations. Kudos, Olea! Keep it up. I'm a new adoring fan.

Tips: for brunch get there by Noon or prepare to have a little wait, dinner earlier is always easier but the wait is worth it. Get the specials, always fresh and delicious. Great aperol spritzers and other cocktails that are well balanced, thoughtful, and made to order. Love the empanadillas special, squid paella, and home made pasta ( get the... More
