A sunday nite jazz-lover's hang...

Panno y Vino, 174 Smith Street @ Warren has good food, and drink. I enjoy the mussels in white wine and a healthy glass of pinot grigio to accompany that, but my favorite thing about the place just a few blocks from the F line stop on Smith near Warren Street is the music. The setting is warm and inviting. We sat in the back room, with the lovely heart-shaped light sculpture. We arrived at 7:30, and the place filled up in a hurry. Now we know why. Great traditional Italian fare at extremely reasonable prices. And the service is as good as any I have had anywhere. The minestrone soup is a huge... More

The food was so delicious - the pasta was home made. Great atmosphere, great service. When you enter on a Saturday night be ready for the sounds of salsa. We went there on the evening of our arrival and because we enjoyed it so much, we went back on our last evening in NYC. There was a live salsa band... More

I visited this restaurant in June with my husband and parents. The atmosphere is nice, sangria is good and the food was very well done. I chose this restaurant since my dad can be quite picky. The menu had some basic items such as chicken parm. The food was really good including the muscles, chicken parm, sea bass, and lasagna.... More

After hearing from some friends how good this neighborhood place was, I was very disappointed. The food was less than average (calamari, penne w/sausage, and tiramisu) and the drinks were expensive and watered down. I would not return.

Great food. Great service. Went for NYE. Was a little disappointed that they raised the prices from their typical menu but understandable considering it was NYE. We had a bruschetta appetizer. The goat cheese and avocado one was amazing. Dinner I got some sort of pasta with a bolognese sauce and shredded ricotta. Honestly I felt like I was back... More

We ate in a smaller off shoot the main restaurant, which all of the locals say was the "right spot." It was just right around the corner from where you enter to access the garden. Pane e Vino does not take reservations, however they were kind enough to put our name on the list for a party of 7 when... More

We had the pleasure of dining here this past summer. We were met with friendly smiles and promptly shown to our table. We chose to sit in the back room which mimics an outdoor garden. Its all enclosed with air/heat. Our waiter could not have been nicer or tried harder to please us. He gave us all the time we wanted... Food was very good and the patio was a really nice location. The place was empty last night, so I was a bit concerned, but it made the service greatly attentive and the seafood risotto was delicious.
