First time having Israeli food and it was very good. To start they provide bread and pickles, which is a nice way to whet your appetite. I tried a number of different mezes (small plates) and my favorites were the meatballs, the zucchini fritters, and the goat cheese and honey. The meatballs were in a pomegranate sauce and reminded me... More

We came across Cafe Miriam just by accident. We were looking for a good place for having breakfast at our first sightseeing day in New York. We had blueberry pancakes and potato pancake two eggs (any style) with labneh cheese, and Israeli salad and coffee and water, of course. It is a lovely place, the waiters are great and they... More

Yes, much of the brunch fare is familiar stuff, eggs, pancakes, etc. But the menu needs to be more thoroughly explored to be truly understood and enjoyed. We started with some of their hummus--excellent! My wife, on the recommendation of another patron, tried the fried middle eastern dough, very unusual for her. But she loved the dish, which was accompanied... More

Miriam has the most inventive assortment of middle eastern food. It's always my go-to restaurant with friends from out of town who are already bored with Italian, sushi, and usual pub fair. The ambiance is casual and comfortable and the menu has options for everyone: from small plates to hardy stews. The wine list is varied and well ranging.

I have been to this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The food is good. Something for everyone. The decor is nice and the staff is lovely. My only complaint is that it can be loud at times and it is sometimes hard to hear your companions.

NB the restaurant is misplaced on the map, it's not in Manhattan, but in Brooklyn! We had lunch here, which was pleasant. My dish, with fried eggplant was a little on the oily side (always tricky with eggplant), but otherwise OK. My daughter's dish was good, the home made fries were excellent. The wifi did not work. The music (here... More

We dropped in here one night as the menu sounded good and it was busy and lively. We had to wait a short while for a table but it did not take long and we were encouraged by other people being willing to wait! Drinks options were great and the meze was really good sharing food. The chicken shawarma and... More

I ate at Miriam on a Tuesday morning and was shocked that they were serving brunch in the week. I had the 2 eggs a la carte with a salad, potatoes and a side of bacon, it did not disappoint at all! This is probably on the best places to have brunch in Brooklyn period! Coffee also came included with... More

I love this Chicken Schnitzel… Its huge and delicious. It's right near the Barclays stadium. So if you're going to a Nets game or seeing a concert over there this might be the best place possible to grab a bite before hand.

Yes, Miriam does brunch, the long lines prove worthy. However, its wonderful for dinner. I love that I can make the experience feel light and relatively healthy (no health claims here). I often just order the meze and enjoy a plethora of flavors. Some of my favorites include the labaneh cheese, humus, quinoa and watermelon & feta tartar - all... More
