Really nice, cozy, restaurant. Good for friends, family, or a date.

We've been here 4-5 times and have never been disappointed. It's a tiny little spot, but you never feel too cramped. Don't try without a reservation.

They always know how to change it up each season and keep the menu fresh. Thank you! We've been coming for years and will continue to come for years as there is no place I trust more to keep their consistent high level of culinary creations unique and new. Thank you!

This restaurant was relaxed with great food. Service was friendly as well. Great place for a date or a quiet dinner.

We had a great Sunday brunch here. The coffee was excellent, as was the food and service. Located in lovely historic building in Park Slope neighborhood with clientele of couples, families, friends. Outdoor patio seating in season. Seated quickly, but recommend reservation. Note-cash only for Sunday brunch. Great find!

This restaurant is in the Park Slope neighbourhood of Brooklyn. There are loads of food places around here, so the standard is high. This was recommended to us and we had brunch here today. We arrived at 12midday and got a table straightaway. Its the Labor Day weekend, and its quiet around here. He had eggs, bacon and grits, I... More

A skillful chef with creative ideas and deliver a plate that leaves you wanting more. This is especially true for the ‘small plates’ and ‘desserts’. I met two of my foodie friends here for dinner on our last GNO. It was a Thursday night, we walked in and our table was ready, but the place was almost empty; as we... More

One of the not-so-secret dining favorites in Park Slope, Applewood offers a seasonally changing menu. Ramps in Spring, root vegetables in Fall, unusual soups, and entrees built around local fish, meats and poultry are uniformly delicious. Touches like the homemade breads and trio of spreads, the often savory truffles and cookies that come with the bill and the homemade sodas... More

My favorite dining experience is breakfast or brunch. Applewood has won me over as a great brunch spot. Enjoyed the spring vegetable omelet but there is a wide variety of dishes to be had. Next time I'm eyeing the fried new york chicken green cabbage slaw and house-made cornbread. Relaxed atmosphere, great service. Just a reminder, they only accept cash... More

My wife and I ate an early dinner here the night Lucinda Williams was giving a free concert in the Prospect Park Bandshell. We both opted for the farmers' menu, which was a fixed three course menu that included a wonderful salad, with thinly sliced radishes and parmesan crisps, and a dressing that had honey in it, a berkshire pork,... A Saturday night dinner with my wife and adult daughter was less satisfying than we expected. Although the service was excellent, the food did not live up to our expectations as our entrees had limited flavor. The prices were reasonable but we went away disappointed as we expected much more.
