I was lucky enough to have a friend take me to Frankies last night for dinner. The food was the best Italian I think I have ever eaten, and the service was great! For starters, we were greeted the minute we walked in the door. We were still waiting for 1 person, so it was suggested we wait at the... More

Fantastic authentic Italian food! I loved my squid ink pasta! Great atmosphere in the restaurant, set in the beautiful Caroll Gardens in Brooklyn.

I don't know if this review should be for Frankies Spuntino or Pujol in México City. Technically, we had dinner at Pujol, but it was a special event where chefs Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli came down from NY to cook. The dinner was very inventive and a lot of fun. The tone is set by the first item on... More

One of first really legit Brooklyn eateries to decide to offer Manhattan quality food, in casual setting with cool people serving, and at much more reasonable prices. Such a winning combination and they were on the cutting edge many years ago. They just do things right, always with an eye on quality food and friendly low key service. (Very nice... More

We enjoyed a special occasion dinner at Frankie's last weekend. The staff handled our special requests with good grace and humor and we had a great time. The meal was very good but I can't wait to go back with just my husband and enjoy a leisurely meal, maybe in the lovely garden out back.

My brother-in-law took us to this place for lunch while on a visit to NYC. We fell in love with Frankies! The place had a lively vibe and the food was outstanding. Try the meatballs with pine nuts and/or the grilled octopus. There is another Frankies in the city which is now at the top of my list.

Whats not to like at Frankie's ? The food and service are impeccable. Everything was delicious from the bread, salad to the home made pasta and amazing braciole. This is a must restaurant when in Brooklyn.

I love the outdoor garden at this restaurant as it's clean, spacious and beautiful. Most outdoor gardens in the city offer views of a neighbors laundry hanging on a clothes line and the seats and tables covered with dust. Frankies was a real delight. We ordered the meatballs with pinenuts and raisins which I found packed with flavor! The gnocchi... More

Not many get to review a catered wedding rehearsal at Frankies Sputino (the Stable building in back with a separate entrance) but I am happy to report that this event by the catering staff exceeded my expectations. I have eaten at Frankies in Brooklyn and in the West Village and always loved the food. But this meal was fabulous and... More

The whole family decided to visit my niece who recently moved to Carroll Gardens, all nine of us, cousins, uncle, aunt and grandma. We all ordered different items from sandwiches to pastas. Each one of us loved what we were eating so much we passed our plates back and forth. A number of the younger foodies iphoned each plate that... More
