We went to this restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday. The service and food were very good. Unfortunately, we sat too close to the front door and did not appreciate the cold air everytime someone came into the restaurant. Other than that, I think the restaurant was a very pleasant experience. The menu is limited, so if diners are extremely... More

Wine list is all Italian and limited beer, but the food was fantastic. The appetizers and entrees were fantastic and I would most definitely return.

We visited Marco's on Flatbush Ave., in Brooklyn this past week. We had been there years ago when it had a different owner. The locale is rather simply but pleasantly decorated. One immediate positive factor is that - unlike many other Italian restaurants - the menu consists of relatively few items. My wife and I ordered an antipasto - salad... More

Definitely not as good as Franny's, the sister restaurant. Pricey for Brooklyn (rather Manhattan style prices), although overall the food is good. The light is very dim in the evening, which does not make it a cheerful place either and does not help for reading the menu. Definitely not worth it as long as Franny still exists and is only... Tasty and well-prepared tagliatelle and papardelle. Delicious beets and arugula salad. Price exceeded the quality a bit. The evening was enjoyable with pleasurable eating and conversation that could be heard.

I'd rate Marco's a 6 out of 10. The food was good, but not extraordinary; we had the bruschetta and grilled oysters to start. The main courses -- pappardelle with lamb ragu and pork shoulder, both good. We shared the chocolate cake with mint gelato for dessert. We expected New York prices for both food and wine at Marco's and... More

Marco's is new, and I believe it is part of the Brooklyn Larder organisation of which Franny's is also a part. OK so diner for 4 on Saturday Evening. The Bartender lady was excellent at mixing cocktails with speed and a certain style, In fact all the staff were good. the wine waiter was superb and managed to move us... More

It is a relatively new place which I do not think will last long. As far as the atmosphere, it is pretty sterile with no warmth or feeling. Table cloth prices with no table cloth. The waitress who greeted us was very good. It took her a while to get back to us to give us the specials. We decided... More
