Amazing Tempura Squash

Met friends for dinner at Diner and enjoyed the outstanding tempura squash and a wonderful mushroom dish. Liked the eclectic menu. Gets a bit over-crowded, but that's not uncommon for the area.

the Diner has some of the best Burgers in NYC hands down. Also the crowd there is hip, young, and super lively. Go there to enjoy a Chimay beer and Bison Burger and you can not not have fun. Cheers

A friend and I stopped in and sat at the counter. We got the French press coffee that was perfect. I had the strata and my friend had the biscuits and gravy. We were both very pleased with our selection. I love the limited menu written on the receipt paper. The staff all look like they enjoy themselves and that... More

Had the most amazing brunch - staff writes out the menu on your table. Pancakes eggs Benny, even scrambled eggs were transformed into memorable dishes. Can't wait to go back.

Seating was tight on our visit for a Sunday brunch, and it wasn't high-class accommodations. The table was tilted, the bench seat was hard, and there wasn't much elbow room. We didn't care, because the food was quite good. I got the grass fed burger with two eggs on top. The meat quality was excellent, and the addition of green... More

I was guided to this quirky, relaxed place by a Williamsburg resident who I met while on a solo trip in NYC. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect as he described it as 'American cuisine' which in my mind is burgers, meatloaf and hotdogs (sorry lovely Americans!) You can't reserve a table but we were instantly greeted and seated... More

We have a stroller and 2 year old with us and they were very accommodating for dinner and stored the stroller for us out of the way. The menu items seem fresh each day and the options were delicious.

Good burger but too pricey! I made the mistake of not looking at menu and ordered a bacon cheeseburger, medium with well done crispy bacon. Unfortunately burger was rare and bacon was not crispy. Their was a $4.00 charge for two prices of bacon which brought the price to $21.00. It did come with fries which were ok. Nice staff... More

It's a cool place for brunch if you go early. Their habit of not writing the prices of specials on the table cloth/paper should not scare you. Just ask them how much the specials are. The ambiance is perfect and if your waiter/waitress is smiling it's guaranteed that you'll have a good time enjoying your brunch. Just be patient with... More

From the outside this place sure looks as it has seen much better days, but the dining experience is much like williamsburgh itself: reclaimed and reinvented. While the ambiance is shabby (not shabby- chic), the food is excellent, thus the 4star rating- and the service was very good too(explanation of dishes was very entertaining). The mussels were fresh and hearty;... More
