Old and cool diner interior, especially the floor tiles (the wooden bench seats: not so cool). No food menu: they actually write the food offerings of the day on the paper on your table (an affectation: you can't read it after the waitress is gone!), and offerings, which change daily depending on what's available, are extremely fresh, wonderfully and unusually... After a really early flight to New York, no breakfast, and a hungry belly, we walked around the corner form our apartment in Williamsburg to Diner. If your looking for something a little more upscale you wouldn't think about this place because from the outside it looks kinda pitiful, but I'm telling you walk in! When you get inside, don't... Went to diner for daughters birthday, not my choice ! The staff was energic and pleasent but the menu was a bit on the so-so side.I dont think we would do a return visit being that we have been too numerous eateries in brooklyn and would choose one of them again

Cool place, with simple interior. Food (burger, frittata, sandwich) was great, and when we asked for bread we were positively surprised, the bread was fantastic.

The inside may look like that classic diner but the menu is new with different takes on fish, pork or chicken (when we were there). Popular and you can expect to wait for a table but you're with a liveky crowd. A bit noisy but that's the ambiance. Friendly waitstaff. This is a place that shows you why Brooklyn has... More

A bit tight when crowded, but nice place. At first glance it looks quite run down; but when you look closer it still is quite run down, although very clean and fresh. The service was great, the beer good and the burger excellent!

Average, is the score I'm setting. The food is fine, if a little pricey. but arriving on a relatively quiet monday, seating was slow though several tables were empty. Service speed was not impressive, a full hour wait between starters and main course, but food quality is high, well tasting and nicely presented. If You're hungry three courses are needed.

Menu surprises every day, excellent wine accompaniment, wonderfully unpretentious. The emphasis is where it should be, on the exquisite food. Don't leave Brooklyn without it.

Great little place! Came here for brunch a few weeks ago and had the best pancakes i think I've ever had! Perfectly cooked, nice and soft in the middle - utterly superb. Perfect with a Sunday morning Mimosa!

On a recent business trip, we were directed by locals to their favorite neighborhood place,Diner. Not very familiar with the location, we followed directions and went to what we thought was the restaurant, but saw only an old metal door. Didn't look too promising on a cold and dark night, but we pushed open the door and found.d our way... More
